Magoo was absolutely legit. Loved watching the Wide World of Sports Superbike races....didn't he get stung by a bee during one of those and almost had an anaphylactic reaction?

My favorite MX pic ever is Magoo riding WFO with his bars bent at an impossible angle and actually trying to finish the race. These days, seems like minor bike issues will cause an early exit to the team semi. If anyone hasn't seen Magoo's DVD (who hasn't??)....order it now....this should be in your viewing library even before Crusty 1.

Thanks for the link. Reading about Magoo stopping while in the lead to check on that dude was incredible. I had the privilege to see Magoo race at Road Atlanta and Gatorback. I remember him going up the long uphill at Rad Atlanta to the very top of the track which dog legged to the left. Magoo would go up on the far right and angle hard to the left right before the crest and jump completely over the inside fence and land way up on the track going so much faster than anybody else. I was leaning up against the fence post by the gate to the starting line at Gatorback one year watching the riders go through when he pulled up and stopped. Chatted with him for a minute....what a cool dude. Long live the memory of Danny "Magoo" Chandler!

I think the bee sting was at the end of one of the trophy de nations races. Someone on here knows for sure. He was fun to watch and had no fear.

Myersdork, every once in a while a one-legged, clorine-ated, blind squirrel comes up with a nut. This ones a keeper. Thanks

Every time I read some thing about Danny "Magoo" Chandler, I think how lucky those who got to see him race in person, are.
Seemed like one hell of a guy. RIP
