There's a bug with one of the ipod operating systems (like 6.0.0 or something). It gets stuck in some sort of loop and continually downloads the files and sucks up massive bandwidth. It's Apple/ the user's fault, not PulpMX's.

if you update your iphone/ipad to 6.1 its a non-issue. problem is, alot of our app users just dont update, and when they dont, and grab a cast, the OS continually keeps redownloading it over and over and over.

Just an fyi, my Iphone is updated with the newest operating system and it quit on me while listening to the review show today showing bandwidth exceeded.

Yes, I apologize for this- we've been chasing this for months now. And because of this iOS bug on iphones it's causing all these issues with whatever server we've been on (third one in last 3 months) and crashing the site. Only this time, our 10TB server limit was reached only halfway thru the month and they just cut us off. I'm buying more bandwidth and hopeful it will be back tomorrow but anyway you slice it, we're effed w having popular podcasts & this apple bug out there.

If you've been getting dinged with high data costs on ur phone, you've been affected by this also.

So I'm up to date on my software and it's still fucked up. It typically takes me 3-4 months to use 2 gb, with this bs bug I've used 1.5 in a week. Only podcast I listen to is pulp, I have now since missed the last couple ones for fear of going over my plan Angry Any ideas on when a fix is coming out?

Holy shit it's great knowing I'm not alone! How's this....my iPhone 4S used 25GB of data in less than 48hrs!!! My phone bill was up to $6,800 and it was only 10 days in to my monthly plan. My carrier turned off the data on my phone because they couldn't work out the problem.

They finally decided today that there was a problem with my phone (which I now know is not 100% correct) and they are giving me a new phone of my choice. Woohoo. Going to try the Samsung Galaxy 3.

Yes the host has locked down the server.

We are deploying a new server today, hopefully completely setup and done with all this bullshit by Friday.

The iOS bug and ineptitude of our current host was the perfect storm to cause this.

Hang in there, the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight.

I've been having the same problems with the App and I did update it. I've given up on using my phone for podcast and have just been using my Ipod and loading off my PC.

I had this problem a couple months ago and ended up deleting my podcast ap and for now I listen to all the new shows through the stitcher ap. Problem solved.

You don't have access to old stuff but that can wait till Apple works it out.

I'm listening to the season review show right now.

Adam Curry, co-host of The No Agenda Show, says he’s also noticed a serious iOS traffic spike for his podcast.

Curry has been on Apple’s case to fix the issue for weeks, and he’s angry. He’s mad at Apple for never publicly addressing an issue that he says has cost him an his listeners dearly.

“They’re an arrogant bunch of cocksuckers,” he says. “This has cost people so much money and they won’t say a thing.”
