So glad to hear he's improving! Keep up the fight, Thomas! And as far as the leg, sure it's a bummer, but the good thing is that being so young he will adapt so much quicker and be back at it in no time. Plus, as mentioned before, prosthetics have come so far and it's amazing what's out there now. Spider-Man would definitely think it's cool.

Man stories like this just break my heart. I have two little ones (son is 4, daughter 7) and before I was a parent these stories never touched me like they do now. My daughter contracted MRSA at 7 weeks old and was in the Children's ICU for a week in Vegas. I have never felt so hopeless in my entire life as I did when I couldn't do anything but wait for others to help her. I hope Thomas makes a full recovery and there are so many great prosthetic companies out there that he'll be up and about within a short time I bet.

I'm with you on the over the phone doctor's advice. If your kid is not acting right and your instincts are telling you differently than the advice coming from the doctor without seeing them, haul ass to the hospital and have them checked out. Good luck and I'm looking forward to your reports of his full recovery.
This resonates, I have a one year old daughter and before she was born this kind of stuff made me feel bad. Now it literally upsets me, I can't imagine what you are going through. Prayers sent, hoping for the best for Thomas.

Take the advice of the Doctors on weather to bring them in or not, I'm not sure if it would help or hurt.

You guy's are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Travis feel for you and your family. Stay strong and get through this hurdle. I see young guys like Thomas in my prosthetists office doing extremely well, first thing though lets keep his recovery going in the right direction and keep clearing those hurdles.

Hang in there, bud. I look forward to hearing about all of his great accomplishments and achievements in life once he recovers. He will go on to do great things as circumstances like this give people a level of appreciation and determination that most can't comprehend. That level of determination will lead to greatness!

Thomas has been on my mind constantly ever since this post started. I feel like we all have adopted him in out heart's. I truly feel for you guy's and what you all are going through, we are still praying for him. Hang in there and stay strong, may the hand of the surgeon be precise and guided by the MAN above.
