Bike landed directly on top of him. Right in front of me. Looked really bad. Every emt at the track working on him.

I was told that he was unconscious all the way to the hospital. Nothing beyond that.

Here's a quick update: No spinal injury, and he's moving all his extremities. Sedated with a concussion, and under observation.

Ian is a tough kid. We used to practice and attend Tichenor schools at his house in North Carolina. He is super talented and was one of the most focused kids I have ever met. I would take my kids to watch him practice starts as an example of focus and dedication.

We hope the best for him.
