I'd say this is his last chance in a good team. He better be ready this time.

Why? Everyone had pretty well jumped to that assumption anyway, so much so that this is actually old news by now.

Then there's the Matthes thing from a couple weeks ago...

If Pourcel does end up on a CLS Kawasaki, then it won't be for a while....

'Keyboard warriors, particularly in the States, have been quick to suggest that Christophe Pourcel, reportedly in conflict with the MotoConcepts team, would be on the next plane to Europe to resume his GP career on Townley's bikes, but this met with a cool response from a senior member of the CLS team:'

"We will race with two riders this weekend - Tommy and Max in MX2 - and I do not expect this to be any different in Sweden. Neither the team nor Kawasaki will negotiate with any rider until they have legal confirmation that that rider is no longer contracted to another team.“

Although this article was posted today, the quote was obviously taken before the MotoConcepts - Pourcel split was confirmed, does this mean they are now going after Pourcel? I guess it would make sense seeing as it's a French team, and offers Pourcel the chance to continue his relationship with Mitch.

This came from DV twitter earlier today:

Motoverte.com reports that CP is getting arm pump surgery in France? So it wasn't the Kayaba forks after all?

I know CP is catching a lot of heat for this whole situation but......

We still don't know the full story and I am bummed that he is not racing in the states. Guy's got serious skills for sure.

Because his jacket is in the restroom.

CP just posted on FB that he's in Marseille.

Could be for testing, or for his doctor who resides there.

Best source I know of. And can trust what he says, because not too many axes to grind, IMO. And he's French, so usually cuts to the chase.

If he leaves here to return home, it's a bummer for us. But I wouldn't expect him to find the going a lot easier over there.

Well, you just learned more : arm pump surgery.

Obviously, not getting alond with M/C's bike's suspension did not create the need for Christophe to get that surgery.

It probably did not help either.

This puts a new light in the way he rode at both races; you just can't race the top athletes in this sport, at the requested speed, while dealing with your arms not being able to hold on as they should.

Way too dangerous.

He really made his situation in the states bad for himself. If he ever wants to get a good ride he's going to have to come back and do it on his own dime to prove he deserves a ride in the 450 class. Keeping your sponsors and team in the dark and taking off is not going to help him in the future.

I’m surprised he was willing to go back there. Cairoli broke him bad and flat out embarrassed him when they were in MX2. I know he left the GPs to get away from Cairoli and didnt think he would go back. Cairoli already has him beat mentally. Whenever Cairoli is behind him Pourcel is gonna be worried and thinking about him, and then will just concede once he is on his rear wheel..

If he finishes just behind Cairoli, he won't be too far from success though.

Just sayin'

I'm not sure why a US team would pick him up even if he comes back as a World Champ someday.

Aren't racers essentially sales people for the product they are pimping at the moment?

If you don't like the salesman you may not buy the product.

How popular is CP in the USA anyway? After this cut and run move I'm not sure his fan club will get any bigger...

This is real similar to Chad Reed running away from his kawasaki deal last year. Most people wrote him off and now he is employable again and everyone loves him... funny that.

For whatever reason, CP didn't fit with moto concepts team. Hes still a great rider and if he gets the right team and people around him, he will do well.
