Pourcel overcame a very bad injury and never gave up. You have much to be proud of as a fellow countryman. The guy is the real deal!

One more lap and Dungey would have zipped by frenchie on his way to Victory in Vegas...on a Suzuki of all bikes.

Pourcel was on the gas this season. If he can carry that momentum outdoors, it's going to be bitchin.

AAAHHH.....i understand now. These 3rd and 4th world little countries are so far behind on technology that they are just NOW getting the news that C.P. won the title. Wow.....news travels pretty fast , with a note tied to a pigeon. HAHA!

yeah it will be tougher for him......

then again, I didn't predict him to win the east. Its a great story about a guy that said "FU" to injury. Nothing but respect for Pourcel from me.

pourcel is one of the smoothest most natural riders to come along in a while. looks like he has uncanny ability to get the most "forward" momentum coming out of the turns, pulls people out of turns but they're both on the gas. he's a threat to win the outdoors i bet.

Whats a 2nd world country? i think you need to make a list over what countries belong in what ranking of the world, gets confusing for us here in the pigeon countries...

Pourcel's the real deal. I hope he sticks around and makes a successful transition to the big bores, as well.

Do first world countries throw tuffblocks in front of third world countries riders that are leading ont he last lap so they can win the race ?
That must have screwed with CP's mind that whole final lap.
I think he (CP) could have pulled a huge gap if not for that poor attempt to steal the win from him.

hate to blow you're conspiracy theory but it was wind that blew the tough block on the track. It was happening in other areas also. The race shows that the fastest man on the track does not always win. Thats why they have races instead of timed laps to determine the winner!

Again, I'm really happy for CP. I'm also happy he's where he's right now, because I feel the Nats Lites (MX2 better name for sure) will provide the best racing this year, or at least builds up the most exitement pre-race!

I change my mind and claim he will beat Rattray!!!

Pourcel has more credentials than any other rider lining up in the 250f class outdoors he is the biggest dog there, if his injury allows him to ride at his 2007 GP pace he could win it, Rattary is the next guy with the most credentials followed by Dungey. then you have the rest like Searle, Stroupe, Canard, Anstie, Barcia. 2009 nationals it will be awesome.

BTW Pourcel has been the real deal since 2006 the US are only catching on now... maybe they are the 3rd world country.... Smile

There is no "Lites" outdoor class this year. Sheesh.

But he does have a good shot at the 250 title.

Its not going to be a cake walk like your talking about. Dungey is the favorite the way I see it. Dungey, Rattay, and pourcel are probably the title contenders with stroupe getting a few wins and hitting the ground a few times. There also could be some wins from a few other guys.

There was a race at Glen Helen recently and Stroupe smoked searle, He also got beat by anstie and wilson. Maybe Searle needs some more time to adjust?

Searle hadnt raced since spetember I think he will be fine once he gets rid of the arm pump and nerves - but I think for the title it will most likely be one of Dungey Pourcel and Rattary,- thought Searle Stroupe Canard could easil win motos and even the title - Anstie and BArcia could break into that top 6 too at times as could Metcalfe and Weimar.

I never said it would be a cake walk for anyone. Dungey can't be the favourite though considering he has less titles and wins than the GP World Champs he is the best American though and has the best chance at beating the GP guys for the title.

Hey don't take this wrong, But who did pourcel really beat this year? Stroupe was just as fast, but beat himself most of the year.If it wasn't for Dungey getting a bad start he would of won the shootout. The east coast was weaker than the west this year. Pourcel is a great story and a great rider and definitely a title contender. At the last few rounds of the mx last year dungey was running just as fast as villo and he finnaly got the monkey off his back this year by winning a champioship. I don't see poucel or ratttay going faster than villo did last year and dungey had his pace most of last year. In my opinion ( which doesn't mean shit) thats why dungey is the favorite.

Pourcel has beat Dungey & RV heads up in sx. Never seen him outdoors though.

I like his effortless style, but even more than that I like his approach to racing a series.

They guy is crazy fast and VERY calculated.

ALL these 4 lap wonders from the am ranks could learn from that guy.

Wars not battles.
