Would be cool if they started making a fast 50 to compete with KTM.

There is almost no market for 250 two strokes and the four strokes are already called KX.
My cousin is a Kawasaki dealer, he told me that 2024 are gonna be green!
Be serious 😂

It could be an electric mini bike and the two in front could be the new KX 450 and the XC version.
It would be a lot of work to make a new KX 65!

Sure wish it was a 50cc race bike, I really feel like the Japanese manufacturers, especially Yamaha are missing the mark. Do they really expect a kid to move from a PW50 to a YZ65? If they made a competitive YZ50, they would sell like hot cakes! C'mon Yamaha, bring back the one year only 1980 YZ50!

It was all new in 21. Have a hard time believing it will be all new again.

No market for 250 2 strokes? It’s not 2009 anymore

He's obviously never tried to buy one. Near impossible to find one in TX. Currently on an 8 month wait list for a 2023 KTM 250sx

Yamaha put out a brand new 65. I think Kawasaki could update their's without much issues.

Top secret photo of the YZ50 Yamaha has Eli testing. I guess he's hard on tank decals. ;-)

Looks smaller than a 65. I'm thinking its similar to a STACYC.

The 2 new models are the KX 250 and X version. The KX 65 remains unchanged. So the covered mini bike is surely an electric mini. Next infos in June.

Well he was right. You know if he just came in here and said “I heard it’s a new 250” people would instantly go “Says who?” Even when he front loaded it with where he heard, someone still said “I doubt it.”

Between the Eli knee speculation post and now this guys info, it’s been a good week for the “Vital MX inside info” club Grinning

Doesn't the kx65 date back to 2000 . But mainly it just got reinforced frame around 2002

More travel in rear also.
Amazing that the Japanese have let ktm/husky/gasgas get such a stranglehold on mini racing. We tried the kx65 when my son was starting and even for a total beginner it was obvious we were wasting our time. Got on a husky 65 and it was night and day...my sons never going to want to ride anything else..It’s also turned someone like me who would never consider a ktm previously to purchase a husky as well. Now if ktm would just address the garbage fork they put on the little bikes and allow access to the carb without removing the subframe and shock.

That tells you just how good Jett Reynolds and Ryder D really are .I think they are the last 2 KIDS that pretty much dominated in the 65cc class on the 20 yr old bikes .especially in the stock class

The Yamaha is finally a legit entry, especially coming in 10% under the KTM in price.

Nope, he wasn't right, as he said an "all new KX 250." The 2023 KX 250 is an updated model.
Dealers nowadays don't have much infos on new models. They even have difficulties telling you about availability of new bikes.
Secrets are well kept!
