Mini SR is a 79-85cc 2-Stroke Bike and Supermini is a 79-112cc 2-Stroke Bike. Deegan is a smaller kid and rips on an 85 so I think he went for the bike class he is very comfortable with and knows he can win in. Sponsors want wins/ LL Titles. Also, it has to do with his age and Mini SR fits his age better.

Makes perfect sense. I was trying to find some info on the class specifications and saw he would be young for Superminis and competing with kids a few years older, which at that age, makes a huge difference.

Anyone have any links for live timing, live racing, vlogs or anything else keeping us up to date?

I agree with WVHick in that I'm not familiar with the classes even though I've followed LL a little for years. Never knew the difference between Mini SR and Supermini, or the schoolboy classes, etc. How many classes could a racer race?

You can only race 2 classes at Loretta's.

Cochran over Deegan is a bold pick.

I'd like to see what Casey could do on the KTM. Kid is crazy fast, but I just can't see that old Suzuki competing with the rocket Deegan is on.

I agree, Cochran has a lot of talent but these old Suzuki's will not cut it against these pro built KTMs.
I don’t get the down votes because this is spot on, those Suzukis are years behind the other bikes. Unfortunately things don’t get much better even when he moves up to big bikes in a couple of years. Hopefully some other manufacturer picks him up.

Two things about this post:
1) Thank god Vurb is back! Those guys kick ass.
2) I hope that kid on the number 12 in Kessler's video gets his suspension figured out before race day, or he's going to seriously hurt himself or someone else. Dude's bike was bouncing around like a pogo stick.

I don't think there is anyone that can touch Haiden Deegan in Mini Sr 1 or 2. Ryder D, Drew Adams and Casey Cochran in 85's and Super Mini.

Doesn't matter every year there is always someone that shows up with guns a blazing that wasn't suppose to.

Can't wait. Favorite MX week of the year.
As good as Haiden is, he would get his ass handed to him in Supermini this year. That's simply because of age difference and physical strength though. When he's the same age as Ryder D, Ferry, Fineis, and the others, he will as fast or faster than they are now.
Last year when Ryder went down in Mini Sr and was fighting back, he was throwing down lap times on an 85 that were competitive with the 250 B class while going through traffic. It was at that point I realized when he's winning he's not even going 100%. That kid is ridiculously fast.

I sure hope Ayden Shive gets some attention in the 125 classes. Won a title at Daytona this year and grinds his ass off every day of the week.
