I was standing in the tunnel when they rolled him by. His eyes were both really puffy like he broke his nose and he is going to have a couple seriously black eyes, but he was conscious. He looked to be in extreme pain. Hope he's feeling a little better now, and makes a quick recovery.

I saw the same thing on ig from josh grant and jason anderson. Jimmy albertson posted a comment saying it sounded lime his bike went into first gear as he hit a triple. Hopefully thats all that happened injury wise. No paralysis or anything like thay right? When i see post like thess i always think of thag, dont want to see that happen to anyone.

He wasn't on a backboard, so I'm assuming there is no injury to his spinal column. They were rolling him on a regular stretcher.

Right on, I automatically went to a worse case than that. Sounded more serious. Glad to hear it might just be some relatively minor injuries.

Happened right in front of where I was sitting, he walked to edge of track on corner and was helped from there. Wasn't walking too well, was definitely in a lot of pain.

Both his wrists broke and both lungs collapsed. I too saw his face and was in some serious shock as he raced by in the Asterisk cart. All I heard was Doc asking are you alright n him saying no n then telling to hurry up back. He looked like an overweight Asian with his eyes popping out of his head. As if 20 bees stung his face. I guess when your lungs both collapse it can push air up into your head. This mechanic Josh Bartnik just came by and said he's going back to the hospital after hes done eating. If you know Ward he's skinny and when he came by he looked like a blob with eyes popping out of his head. Heal up, bro. Sorry you had to go through this, but everyone who saw you was worried for you.

There is more than the collapsed lungs and wrists. Unfortunately. Keep fighting Montana!

Thanks for the update Jeff. Guess we won't be seeing him around for awhile. Hope he heals up quick. One broken wrist is miserable enough, but both.... I wouldn't even wish that on my enemies.

What else is there? I assume a concussion and probably a broken nose. Maybe broken cheek bones?

Questionable spots on the brain, and broken back. That is from a close mutual friend of ours. He is a tough kid though.

Jason Anderson posted an IG update. Just said collapsed lungs, hole in his trachea, and a broken arm. Nothing about a broken back

Wish Keaton the best and the sight i saw when they took him off the track I will never forget. But it's obvious it can oregonracer46, I've never seen something so crazy/horrific looking in my life. Keaton is pretty slender and he looked like a 400 lb sumo wrestler.

I had some epic battles with him in 2013 at 3 Palms and even after some rough racing between each other, we gave each other high fives and left it all on the track. He is such a good kid with so much determination. Hope he heals up quickly, hate seeing this happen to any rider.

Actually it kinda can. Sometimes when you get a pneumothorax, aka collapsed lung, air escapes your lungs and goes into the surrounding tissue under your skin. Its called subcutaneous emphysema or subcutaneous air. You puff up and swell. In his case it was probably coming from his punctures trachea. That is why he looked so puffy and swollen. Anyways, here is hoping him a speedy recovery. Sounds like he got pretty lucky and should have a full recovery.

Prayers for Keaton. Such a nice young man. I was just talking to Bayliss a few weeks ago at about how good Keaton was looking this year on the track. We both knew his first main event was coming really soon. Such a bummer. Get well soon bud.
