I ran into Willoh three weeks ago at Barona Oaks, he was there with his little girl and racing a 50cc race that Burnworth put on. He said he is a working man now for some fountain company, like fountains you find in courtyards and stuff.
He said he really wants a job within the industry, I told him if he ever wanted to make real money to stay away.
The AMA told us during the riders meeting at the last national of the year (Steel City) that they were going to "randomly" draw 2 riders from each class to get a urine sample at the conclusion of the meeting. IF you took the test and were found to be positive they would DQ you for the first 4 races of the following year, but you could still race that race because they would not have the results.
The first name pulled was Jeff Willoh and a collective laughter filled the entire riders meeting as we all knew this wasn't "random" at all. It was way too obvious who they were after.
He went into the motorhome with Duke Finch and asked for an explanation and his options and instead of taking the test he withdrew from the race, thus securing the first 4 races of the next year and never actually having a positive test.
He then went out front and put on a riding clinic at Mad Mike Jones house that had all the top riders watching him.
I loved watching Jeff when he was on the Tuf AX Hondas.
I didn´t like the stroy of how he threw a big gulp at a random guy passing him by in the car. apparently it hit him in the face and he was hurt.
He has come up to Montana and raced the Billings arenacross a couple of times in the past. He put on a pretty good show.
Willoh was a cool guy and fast ass racer. Wanna say he won San Diego 125s '97 or '98 on Honda.
He's got a lot of talent and heart. I hung out with him a bit while I was in SoCal a couple years ago and during the BooKoo series, he still resides near Burbank I believe. I can also say this, the better the buzz the better he seems to ride...lol I'm just sayin...I know a handful of riders like that.
Was awesome in Arenacross on the TUF Honda team and threw down the most insane whips for the time on a CR125.
He was leading the points one season most the way through the series when they had a Canadian round and he had to miss both nights of racing.
He went on to win the last Regional Arenacross title over a young Jake Weimer before they ditched the regional series.
Last I heard, he still rides and races a bit locally and is a working class family man.
Sick style and always seemed to enjoy being at the races. Oh, and it's WILLOH.

The reason I say 99% sure is that I KNOW it was an older pro rider and I'm almost positive it was Jeff.
