"Welcome to Southern California......the mecca of motocross racing." ~ Jason Wiegant
I was there, the entire stadium was roaring and everyone was rooting him on. One of the best Supercross races ever, he took second in all time wins that night. The speed and rhythm he had was unbelievable, there were 3 sections no one else tried but him, it was an awesome race!
I would like to talk to somebody who was there and at salt lake City 2017 to see which crowd was more pumped on the comeback by James or Tomac.
There are a lot of guys over the years who have put in miraculous rides , and James' Toronto race was definitely one of them. I do miss seeing him out there , but I also miss seeing MC , RC , RV , RD and guys before that , like RJ , DB , Barnett , Bradshaw , Stanton , Larocco....ect....
I actually feel honored to have watched all the greats since about 1978. And James is on that list as well. Kind of bummed on the way he went out , but it is what it is. I'm still pissed about Storebeck landing on RJ , breaking his wrist and pretty much ending his career. Could have been a few more championships under his belt.
" And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.”
Watched that happen live. Had a buddy with me who didn't watch SX often. Told him on lap 4 that James was gonna win. It's that race that makes me think he could come back and do well.

The good old days when Stewart and Barcia were fast. It would be nice to see both of them up front again.
