85' RC125? I wonder how it would do in the last 125 shoot out with all the brands (2003 or 2004?) I hate to say it, but I think it would finish last. But as a kid, that was the best bike ever, my dream bike!

Oh man, what a beauty! I used to dream about that bike as a young kid. The seat going all the way up to the gas cap, the long radiator on the other side....works of art!

That bike looks like the '85 RC 250. I think all 250 class bikes and sx 250 class used white back grounds.
If that is a 1985 it must be Jonny O's SX bike since he was SX champ in 1984.
I think that is the greatest bike of all time we are just now catching up to it with current tech.

That bike would look good lined up at the start of any national today...I bet it might even be competitive in the right hands wink

the winking smiling emoticon typically means someone is kidding....and I might as well explain the humor > its funny because most people who are nostalgic about things think they are the best ever, and nothing will ever be better, so its a bit of poking fun at old guys like me who think the 80s are still "it"

An awesome bike for it's time. I wonder what year it was that production 250 two strokes finally equaled it's performance? 1990? 1995?

Yeak, I'm not so much in to the fat chicks, either. Based on what I grew up seeing, there is no reason we aren't all riding sub-200 pound bikes.

The OEM's sold us all a bag of goods.

This is what all champs bikes should look like when they win the title the year before. Enough with the fugly red backgrounds.

I was always a fan of the blue background with yellow #1. Did we see that combo on anything other than a Honda??

thin number makes the bike nice an sleek and gives it a light weight kind of look, fat number looks bulky, almost fat and heavy looking.

Then again... Stewart's #1 here looks pretty damn good too. Again, no red backgrounds makes it look 100x better.

The thin #'s are designed for two strokes.

Of course it would get dead last in an 04 shootout! LOL so funny. i have had works barrels and pipes on my bike before (i know some people) and they dont run that much better than a ported stocker or a PC pipe.

Jeff Ward carried a fat #1 pretty well...

I'd say the fat #1 looked good on Antunez's 80's:

and then... you can barely see this #1:
