The Shop
We're talking about Eli Tomac here not some B class weekend warrior. The pants are fine for you and I.
last week we had people saying being harder on your bike did NOT make meckanicals more likely.....
this week we have someone saying a person can be harder on his PANTS and therefore will more often fail....
ffs how stupid can this place be?
A-stars gear? Thats a no-no
Why do you not see other A-Stars guys having the same issues? (Barcia/Herlings)
Eli was absolutely hauling ass yesterday. Freaking insane
That was fun to watch.
Pit Row
I must say that was one of the most incredible displays of riding I have ever witnessed.
To be cutting 3-4 secs a lap off of the leaders at the end of the Moto was unreal.
With that said... I wouldn’t buy it. But that’s just me
Sure seems to be pissing away a lot of $$$ for negative results. I don’t pay much attention to anyone’s gear unless they r having to pull up those britches n the middle of the race
3T doesn't publish any technical drawings of their components like, say, Thomson does. Makes it hard to fit bars.
Campy had to outsource their new disc brakes to Formula (yes also italian)
Campy uses green loctite on their wheels, effectively welding the nipples in place and making it impossible to true your $3,000 carbon wheels at home.
Campy requires special tools for simple things like installing chains and crank arms.
Formula brakes have had an identity crisis wrt fluid choice - finally settling on mineral. their quick release fittings leak.
frame makers outsource their carbon to taiwan, while generally relying on italian heritage and mystique rather than functional superiority to sell frames, pinarello being the only real exception.
i don't wear much italian cycling gear, but the word is they import alot of 3rd world labor to italy to make it, but then charge exorbitant rates for it, since 'made in italy'.
Post a reply to: If Astars pants cant stay up for Eli how can I expect them to stay up for me?
