the go pro edits of these pro riders during super cross are sooo much smoother than my simple trail riding footage.
anyone have any idea what settings the would be recording at
and what post prod they use to smooth out the footage?

Use highest quality camera. Record at highest quality. Use professional editing software. Use professional video editor.

I have my gopro 4 at 1080p 60fps superview. I edit and render the video in mp4 out of sony vegas. 30,000,000 bit rate seems to be fhe best balance of quality and file size. Also disable resampling before you render. Youll probably want to add a touch of saturation to the video as color is often lost through recording. Tons of tutorials on all this.

This sounds extremely confusing and the reason I don’t use my GoPro. If editing was easier, or if there was a cheap service, I could see more people using them.

HBO is currently filming True Detective where I live and Tuesday they filmed for 10 hours to get a 3 minute clip. Crazy, much respect for editors and creators.
