you can get bell moto 7's for ~$100, and they are a decent helmet if they fit your head.

Moto 8's for ~200.

All this is closeout pricing.

Is this another 4 wheeler joke thread?

Moto 8 would be my pick, Thor Force and Fox V3 would be next. No reason to pay more than $150 for any of those as they are always on sale somewhere or on E-bay.

Glad you specified it was for a beginner. I would have agreed with R-acer on the Shoei VFX-W, but that's a pro helmet. Here's a good beginner helmet..

Working on it Sir, as well as a possible replica for 2 other of our riders, including the Gautier Paulin/Davide Phillipaerts Monster Energy replica.

Yes Blake, the US website hasn't been updated yet. These MT-X are arriving at Parts Unlimited in the next month.
We're also finalizing our account on www.mxsponsors.com

Oh no, don't buy those RC5 you see on our site. Those were designed at the end of the 90s, when we used to produce the first Fox helmets.

i bought one of those and its super light and fits well but is not very good quality as far as the liner and other `guts`. It fell apart pretty quickly but for 40 bucks it would be a good spare or emergency lid.

just be careful helmets life are at the most 5 years (if you dont hit anything wearing it) so dont buy a helmet that was made before 2005 or 2006 depending on how long you plan to keep you lid.

absolutely and more specifically, the absorption/protection properties of the EPS have about 5 years lifespan in the high-end helmet, but only 3 to 4 for the lower end designs and EPS.

I would never, under any circumstances buy a helmet through mail order, unless of course I could try on the exact model and size. I would hazard a guess the at least 70% of people are wearing helmets that are too big for them.

My general rule of thumb is that a helmet will increase by one full size once it's broken in. Pretty hard to buy a helmet without trying it on first.
