There are some chinese tires that are copies of Dunlop Geomax tires that wear really well. Maybe wouldn't work good on blue grove, but last twice as long and cost half as much. Not sure what brand.....id have to look.

Dunlops wear very fast. If you ride anything close to hard pack, chunks will be missing. Bridgestone 403/404 wear good and provide good traction on a variety of terrain.

Edit...I was gonna say Starcross for super long lasting, but forgot how to spell Michelin. Thanks Motox85..lol

Michelin Starcross and Kenda Millville tires if you want durability. I have no performance issues with the Starcrosses but the Kendas make you feel like you have no side bite and you constantly look down to see if you have a flat tire. But durability wise they last a lot longer than most.

Watever you do, stay away from Pirelli (except the Extra). Although they are decent tyres, they will wear out by just looking at them. I've had good experiences with Maxxis in terms of wear.

I second the Bridgestone 403/404 combo, work great in everything except really deep mud, and they wear for a long time.

X3 on the 403/404s. Awesome all around tires, hook up well and last!

We have hard packed conditions and I have been using Pirelli Mid/Hard 454 for well over 30 hours as a practice tire. I will buy another. Decent Price too.

Artrax. Honestly I like the damn things.. I can't tell much of a difference between my old Dunlops and those, although they are actually copies of my old favorite 756 sand tires and not the new Geomax stuff. So they will only be good in soft conditions, hardpack they would suck really bad. 80 bucks a set.

They do make other tread patterns but none of them look very useful.

Dunlops last a LONG time if you stick to prepped race tracks that are soft and deep. If you ride in the desert or hills, there is no tire made that will last more than a couple of rides. It's always a compromise between buying cheap vs good tires. Some of the cheaper ones are made with harder rubber and may wear slightly better but they will perform at a lower level and you run the risk of entire knobs just ripping off the thing. Also, cheaper tires often have weaker side walls which puts you at greater risk for pinch flats and damage to your rims.

I am a believer in using GOOD tires like Dunlops, Bridgestones, and Pirellis. There may be some other good ones but I'd stay away from Cheng Shins and stuff like that......unless you wear overalls when riding.

The Bridgestone 403/404 combo is a good combo of performance and durability.

I am currently running a set of Pirelli MXMH 454's. I have ridden with them twice so far in loam to hard pack and i can even tell i've used them.. Great wear.

Dunlop mx 51 rears are great for traction, but they do wear kind of fast, especially in hard pack.

If you want a set of inexpensive tires that last. Pick up a set of Sedona MX887. They are a Michelin Starcross copy. Sedona is owned by Western Power Sports. They are about half the price of a brand named tire. They are a little heavier than a brand name tire though.

Maxxis IT wear like iron and hook pretty well. Maxxis SI wear a little quicker but hooks up great on loamy/deep tracks. Both will outlast a Dunlop and save you $25-30 bucks for the set.

Just looked and these are actually Shinko's, but they may be made in the same factory because this looks like a 756 like you said. I was thinking it was an MX51, but it isn't. This thing is wearing great and as long as you ride on prepped tracks the harder compound isn't a big deal.

Anything Dunlop.

I find all the other tires disappear very quick. The difference is though, a worn Michelin still seems to work pretty darn good.

I replace front tires faster than I can afford to, because if they suck, you get hurt.

Sedona MX880 soft terrain tires, They look like the old Dunlop 756's and the performance has been good for me, I ride mainly trails and grasstracks and intermediate motocross tracks. They have worn like iron on my YZ 250, My guy at the motorcycle dealership sales them to me front and rear for w/ tubes for $100.00 bucks and says he makes a few bucks. I'll have to ask him what distributor he orders them from.

In my experience/opinion:

Maxxis IT lasts the longest, traction is just OK.

Bridgestone 403/404 lasts next longest and offers very good all-around traction.

MX51's wear fast!!!!!Blink Starcross MH3 or Kenda Washougal (great price/wear factor) is all I run...oh but if it's deep sand or going to be a mudder then I run IRC M5B's.

Michelin M12

MXA just gave the inexpensive Full Bore tires a good review and they said they lasted a long time.

Im a cheap person but im a stickler with tires and know what works best and its worth it to spend the $$ on good tires

You won't find anything better than Michelins. I've tried Dunlop and Bridgestone and Michelins last at least 50% longer than either of them.
