fuzion bars with odi lock on grips

Anyone have issues putting ODI lock on grips onto pro taper fuzion bars? The left side grip is an absolute pain to get on. Just wondering if anyone else has the same issues?

Yup. Used a dead blow hammer to mount. Easy peasy.

The left ODI lock on grip is supertight to get on Pro Taper bars, you need to hammer it to place like Tomok above said.

First time trying the ODI grips and find that they hurt my hands compared to a traditional renthal kevlar grip

I tap mine on lightly with a rubber hammer. They ate harder to get off.
Next time I will sand the bar slightly. I have been using them for 6 years or so love them.

Try the Emig ODI they are a lot softer and stickier than the standard ones that come on the KTM. I think I like stock Kawi grips better than standard ODI lock ons. The grippier the grip the looser I grip it. I have had good luck with Protaper pillowtop lock ons too. The half waffle Protaper lock ons are super slick when they get any mud on them so I don't recommend those.

I run ODI lock on grips and Pro Taper bars on all my bikes. Easiest way to do it is get your Dremel out and use the sanding bit to grind down the knurling. Then give em a light tap and they go right on. Only takes about 10 minutes.

Just bolted on new Evo Bars and fresh ODI grips, they were super tight like everyone else said. I just took some 200grit sand paper and took the tops off the knurls, it was still a tight fit getting them on but it ain't gonna spin or come off when you don't want it too!
