Unlike most of the top 9 riders, RV wasn't jumping the triple-triple section after the dragon's back. James seemed to pull a sizable gap on Poto each time they exited that section.

And out of the 4 how many of them finished behind him?

He's done. RV's time is over, he should retire.

Wink Of course he's not superman, he rides on a kryptonite bike, duh. It's too bad they don't give wins for heat races, fastest lap, or
holeshots or he wouldn't have any championships. I'd have to guess he's the Green Lantern, but you know all those superhero
types keep their identity secret.Woohoo

Something is up with RD an RV... there not close to what they were last year.. I think RV got hurt in one of his many crashes since the season started an RD.. well, probably before the season started...

aggressive move on rv's part. but thats why hes multi champion. not saying dungey isnt either....rv stalks riders plain and simple. and when he needs to make a move he will be as aggressive as possible. got to love it.

but to answer the question i think rv will just slowly and smartly beat davi each week to gain the points. its going to be tough though, as davi is not making mistakes. daytona will be exciting and a true testimate to davis heart !

For the guys taking jabs - do you see anyone else making a convincing, consistent effort to slow down the Milsaps freight train? All very well waiting for a mistake from Milsaps, but RV is the only guy that appears to be taking the bull by the horns and making a dent on that points lead.

I think this is a very very plausible scenario. RV is honey badger. Hopefully Davi can keep nailing the starts every week and make RV really earn it. The thing DM has going for him, besides his new found speed, aggressiveness and consistent starts is how much parity there is in the field. There is no more 10th to first. The field is too stacked and RV has needed to move through the pack like butter to nab his championships in the past and that just isn't as possible this year.

I am ready to see a champion not named Ryan and love the breath of fresh air that the red 18 brings so I am probably not as unbiased as some, but I am trying to be realistic about the danger RV holds.

Well, I've never met him or had any type of dealings with him ever, But at the Atlanta SX, I was sitting with another friend of mine in a behind the scenes area (beyond the pits) where several riders and family members came walking by. Over the course of about 30 minutes, Tony was the one and ONLY person who said anything to my friend and I. It was a simple, "Hey, how are you doing?" along with a smile and acknowledgement that we were there. I thought it was interesting that out of everyone who walked by and the things people say about him. So kudos to him.

Throughout the rest of the night, it was very interesting to observe who interacted well with fans and who seemed to "work" at it. I was pleased to see several young privateers who were obviously with mom and dad getting the opportunity to sign autographs and interact with kids and fans.

Tony is pretty damn cool and pretty damn committed to what he loves.
