Im not so sure its the payout but the fact that the cost to race the thumpers is just cost prohibited for some of the guys running out of dads van with no support from sponsors. A couple rebuilds cost more than a bike. The days of rebuilding the entire engine for $600 are gone. This race has even less riders due to the fact that it is in Canada and that alone makes it harder for the little guys to make it to the race. Im kind of surprised there isnt more of a showing from the local Canadian riders.

This all started a few years ago when Steve Whitlock and the AMA said that this is the very top level of racing so all you local privateers don't belong here and we don't want you here. Yes Whitlock and the AMA are gone but its the same mentality so now riders are staying home and the Supercross series can kiss off. looks like with all the empty seats on the west cost the fans are saying the same thing. Next year or two who ever is running SX then will come crawling back to try to get the local pros again, and maybe the fans will follow.

Yeah just feel free to throw in your own agenda for why people don't show up.

No adjenda, i havent owned a 2t in the last 4 years. But how many privateers scrape together 20k or so to buy a couple bikes and throw some goodies on em to get them the best that they can afford. Then 1 or 2 of the bikes blow up. Unless parents are loaded or they mortgage the house the season is over for the youngster.

D-Day: War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.
Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
Bluto: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough...
[thinks hard]
Bluto: the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!
[runs out, alone; then returns]
Bluto: What the fuck happened to the Delta I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? This could be the greatest night of our lives, but you're gonna let it be the worst. "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Wormer, he's a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer...
Otter: Dead! Bluto's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.
Bluto: We're just the guys to do it.
D-Day: Let's do it.
Bluto: *Let’s do it*!

We have ran at every east coast round so far but the cost of going to Canada was too much to swallow.

I don't blame you at all for not going. The return is not worth the investment in this case.

They should be ashamed for spending the money to store the dirt in a proper facility and having possibly the best Toronto SX yet?

Or should they be ashamed that so many riders are injured this year?

Reminds me of the 2002 SX series....when a lot of riders were injured around this time of the series.

Injuries suck. Period.

Is there a way to overthrow field?

I Believe another company should take over the sport...

How about J.S.E!

Just tough logistics wise for privateers. You are at Daytona, and then all the way north to Canada, and then back to Dallas. You can race Daytona, hit the southern route to Dallas for 10 days riding tracks in some decent weather.

So how would Toronto be any more expensive than if the race had been in Detroit, or Buffalo, or Niagara Falls NY??

Have they started charging an entry fee at the Canadian border??

You mean before or after all the union fees and hassles they'd have to deal with?

even if they make a main the payout wouldnt even give um enough gas money to get to the next race let alone rebuild a motor... Hell it will be enough for the next races entry fee lol... Making a pro rider pay to be the entertainment is silly.....what up with that?
