Debating on buying a junker for a full build..

2003 CR250/CR125 Woody woodpecker
2003 RM125/250 Sobe Replica
2000-2004 YZ125/250 w 06+ forks.

Main use... Play bike.. little moto.. little of desert play riding.. (no glamis or sand dunes) use a Can Am for the family there.

2002-2004 yz 125/250, the 2000-2001 yz frame is different than 02-04 steel frame.

I always had a soft spot for the woodpecker cr's. The general consensus was that the 125 were pretty gutless. A nice 250 would be awesome though. Someone did a huge build thread on a 02-04 cr250 to get ideas from. Enjoy what ever you choose!

I really don’t see too many steel frame yz125s really done up. Would love to see a build thread of one that is really full tilt.

i really like the idea behind the steel frame.. based on my interpretation of Chad Reed on the Whiskey Throttle show, he said he hated the aluminum frame, that the steel frame(2004 YZ250) was one of the best bikes he'd ever ridden but he said he would have preferred to have his 05 Engine in his 04 YZ250.

Im sure the YZ125 will share similar characteristics..
