I think...welcome to the site. Smile

Jake turned in some very solid rides the last few weeks. He had the fastest practice time at Steel City...and was looking for more. He was visibly bummed when he came around to find the checkered flag in the second practice.

They did go on for a while about how it looks like they've just given a spectator a bike. But at the same time, the kid was allll over the place in those first couple of laps. Pretty scary to watch!

Give the guy a chance, its his first year ona 450, he has just jumped on a totally new bike and is trying his arse off to not only lift his profile in the US, but also trying to win one of the biggest events in the world of MX.. An ama national.. He has been riding a lites bike for a long time, so being loose on the first few laps is where that generates from IMO. He has always been pretty wild on a bike, thats just him. Next year when he has settled in the groove to consistantly ride the 450 to his and the bikes limits.. he will be up there with the top 3-10 riders.
And its great that Kawy have givin a bike to a spectator and that spectator is mixing it up with these hard core Honda guys and the likes...

If DB said that he looked like a spectator riding, it's because he did look that way.
It's like saying "Ride it like you stole it.
It's a simile.
It's a fact.
JM42 might be a checkers or wreckers deal.
I think we have seen that style before ...
So proud to see him up front.

As a point of reference, David will be the FIRST and LOUDEST when it comes to telling stories about times that he himself rode like a douche.

He isn't ashamed of it, but he learned every time from it.

Budds creek didn't help his case any.

DB on Honda & moss was nothing more than color commentating.
Just like emig on cooper.
That Green/Gray/Blk TLD gear moss had on looked too nice with that bike.

I think NFL, Major League Baseball, NBA, NHL, NASCAR and F1 drivers, and tennis players all get scrutinized and critiqued every weekend.

He was really just making a point that Moss rides more like Ricky and less like Windham. don't make it more than it was.

A header pip melting an oil line and oil spewing all over his boots helped that one bud.

Yes, Jake has a bit of a "Carmichael, Stewart-ish" style but at the same time dont you think some of the comments DB made were a bit harsh? The spectator thing was kind of uncalled for and other things like "OH there he goes again, i was about to say he looked good that lap"

I know they didnt mean it in a bad way but to me I think it was a bit uncalled for.

I'm not going into the loopout itself. It was beat to death here a few weeks ago.

All I"m saying is that it gets filed in the same category as pin it to win it. Which is his style.

Bailey is doing a great job of associating a style and personality with the riders on camera to the viewing audience. He illustrates the calculated technicians and the "all in" checkers or wreckers on the regular.

I think its funny that db has got moss & honda fans all quiver lipped around here.

Yea that was Kinda Red he just kept going on and on and on about that was not needed. I remember him bagging on DV when he would spend the moto looking back or moving out of the way, and he was working with him at the time so at least he is fair !!!!!!

Why do we even have anyone commentating? We should just run raw footage with no verbiage over top. That way nobody's feelings get hurt.

Then people would complain about camera angles.

When Reed started to look like crap, he mentioned that too. Maybe DB just doesn't like Australians.

Geez Louise! What Bobby said.

Could you imagine Bob Hannah doing colour commentary ? Hey David Izer - pull some strings, apply alcohol, do what ever you can to get Hannah a one off gig in the commentary role.
There wouldn't be any need for a second ...

DB loves hearing himself speak. I get sick of his "I know everything, nobody else knows anything" attitude. Just my opinion though...

I'd much rather just have Emig in the booth.

Wow. It's the exact opposite for me. I wish there was a "Mute Emig and Wiegandt" button. And a "Replace Erin Bates with Erin Normoyle" button, while we're at it. If ANYONE likes to hear themselves speak, it's Weege. I don't know how DB & Emig keep from punching him in the face every time he talks over them. And I like Emig as much as the next guy, but he's painful to listen to. JMHO...//TJ

Bailey and Weege are a great combo. Some of you seem to be wearing your panties a little snug.
