It really more than anything comes down to the track. The top GP riders are very proficient technically. The variety of tracks and terrains they ride really demand precision. You could see this with Jeffrey at the end of the last moto especially; riding around like he was in a gear too high, on the pegs, no hurry... But at the same time the absolute picture of momentum. Of course the top AMA riders are equally capable, but the Nationals themselves (the tracks) are comparatively similar from rd to rd - favouring a fairly uniform set-up and technique.
Eli's moto's in Europe - 4th, 16th, 2nd, 8th, 6th, 3rd.
Webb's moto's in Europe - 2nd, 2nd, 6th, 18th, 4th, 10th.
Herlings is doing just fine!
Cairolis last motos in the US: 2nd 2nd 13th 14th 5th 30th
Yeah, Webb's record looks better, he's probably the better rider
We hear all year long, riders bitching about bike setup, track conditions, hemorrhoids, etc for poor performances and you have this kid that hops off a jet, onto someone elses bike and slaughters the whole entire field on a track he's never been seen, let alone, ridden on before. That is some RC level shit.
Pit Row
eli and a healthy bagget.along with marvin aside. eli would have rode different for sure.
insane when you watch how fast the top 20 are and the elite just mow them down.
Tomac has done it Jeffery has done it does not matter where they are from it's great to watch riders get in a zone and dominate.
Oh, and yea, Herlings is a bad ass. No doubt.
