crf 450 2002 ticking head?

hi guys.



i have rebuilt my crf 450 02. new piston, new valves, new valve seats. cam chain, tensioner. crank has no play in bearings.

valve shims good.

everything should be good. but i still hear ticking coming from valve cover. i also borroved my friends camshaft assy. can you pls guys try listen to the vid i made? it makes me crazy, im afraid it blowin out on me.

Sounds like excessive valve clearance or a timing chain that’s not quite tight enough

yes, i been told that too, but i replaced cam chain, even tried manual chain tensioner. also did valves, like 5 motohours before. sounds like this since i bought it.

My 2008 450R makes a similar noise that had me concerned enough to ask - was told it was normal.. however would still be a good idea to get more opinions on your particular noise..
