Normally, the craigslist "funnies" here are pretty dull. That one's funny,

Naw. The same people that pay thousands for thumper rebuilds exist on the two stroke side too.

What should be questioned is: why is it so difficult to line up two dots on a four stroke vs lining up a pin and fork on a pinger.

Real question: who would pay to have that dude to rebuild the engine? The last time he rebuilt it, it blew in 5 hours.

Good thing he was dumb enough to give away every detail. That should save reasonably smart buyers some time.

Im guessing he wants $1,000 as is and if he fixes the engine it wouldn't cost that much to fix but the book value of the bike goes up a lot if it is running correctly....a bike with a strong running engine makes the bike more valuable hence the price increase selling "as is" is a good deal if someone has the mechanical ability to fix it themselves.

I would jump on it if I had the money and lived in or near KC anyone know ifan 04 CR125 was any good motorwise?

Once I have the money im gonna get a current 125 and slap a 144 kit on it hopefully I can find a blown one like this so it won't cost as much to build. Never owned a 125 or 144 for that matter but they just seem like a lot of fun on the right track

Nothing other than he blew it up by being a tool, then telling everyone.

The honesty is actually refreshing... Maybe not the best sales pitch but I can appreciate him being straight forward about the history of the bike!

Well.....to fix everything , he would be into it with his own time and money......maybe what the guy is trying to say is " I DON'T want to fix it!" Which is basically what the guy is saying.

Honestly , if the guy isn't into riding any more , i don't think what he is asking is out of the question. IF it was running good , and looking like the way it does , it would be worth about what the top price is anyways.

Either way...$1000.00 is a steal if you ask me!

Maybe it was one of the famous James Stewart factory 125 bikes that pops up on craigslist every once in a while......those always crack me up and seem to be littered all over the country.

1000 bucks is a great deal. Spend 2-300 more and you have her good as new.
