I don't think he'd care and he'd most likely thrive in that situation.

Many would have said that about Barcia, yet he run (or rather rode off) like a little bitch at Bercy when he was confronted!

Dungey , Tomac and Martin were well received in Kegums, the Euro's respected them all , and wanted to see good racing... i think this year with Barcia and Webb, there will be an element of tension, they are both confrontational riders, and if they dont go about it in the right way , they could find it harder than it needs to be.

Dungey and Tomac both rode clean all weekend , and i dont think they had any issues either, i dont see that happening at Ernee.

And while people are using a victory in japan to justify Webb's selection on a 450 , he beat Graham Irwin into second place, who is the UK equivalent of Kyle Chisholm.

When the gate drops I doubt Webb cares what people are thinking of him at that time.

What's JB not wanting to have a fist fight got to do with it? Aren't we talking about racing?

Webb may think he doesn't care. I'm not sure he'll feel the same way by about mid day on Saturday at Ernee. Do not underestimate those French fans

Laughing it's a fair point. Seriously though, I know Webb is very head strong but the French fans can be brutal. I wouldn't want to be on their bad side

I fully get what you are saying. But. I reckon Webb'd take it like water off a ducks back. I don't think Webb minds a bit of controversy. I also think he likes to get a reaction from people.

BTW. I'm not expecting him to win.

Seems to me that Webb is behaving pretty much like Herlings did when he was younger. Cocky, arrogant, no filter...

Herlings changed with some experience, and some much-needed maturity that comes with age. I figure Cooper Webb will do the same.

Herlings is only one year older. At this point he had already matured quite a bit..

Cooper can act cocky fine by me, but the whining annoys me when he's not the cleanest rider outthere himself.

People mature at different rates. I also think the fact that Herlings seems to be a very different guy than he used to be (at least when a mic is shoved in his face) is because Everts told him to STFU more than once.

Barcia pulled a bitch move because he is a *****. Webb will do really good, probably take a French guy out, and he won't give a shit.

Big John will bring some big guys over, and Cooper will be escorted out at the end of the day while chanting fuck France holding a 'merican flag pounding a beer and stealing their girlfriends. You watch

A french fan is a very stiff white flag ,they figured it out when waving them vigorously on hot days during the war.

Why should Marv be inclined to take him out? Because Coop talks trash, because he doesn't like Marv's tactics while in the lead? Coop went around Marv cleanly yesterday in moto 2 and Marv couldn't match the pace. Coop then made it easy for a teammate to pass, more than likely because he was asked to by the team. Yes Coop is somewhat immature, but please show me all these examples of where he races dirty.

Yes. So you wouldn't say they atm have more than a "normal" rivalry? + It would make the french croud go nuts. Sure he went around him clenely yesterday but at Unadilla he tried to take him out but couldn't make it happen. But I'm fine with him racing aggressive and all that, but don't whine then when someone does something you don't like, settle it out on the track.

Regardless of the reception he gets in France, I don't think he's good enough to win the Open class with how much riding he has on the 450. We'll see

Never said they didn't have more than a normal rivalry. Coop is trash talking. Tell me a sport where that doesn't occur. I haven't seen where Marv has been much faster if at all faster than Coop since his return and has relied on extreme defensive riding to keep him behind. That would frustrate anyone. In my opinion, Coop didn't try and take Marvin out at Unadilla, he was riding very aggressively and their lines came together. Had he been trying to take him out, I believe Marv would have been lying on the ground off the side of the track. That's just my opinion though.

Marvin is too classy of a person and rider. Not to say he won't race him hard when given the chance. Marvin seems content letting his talent do the talking for him; then kills the haters with kindness on the podium

What's JB not wanting to have a fist fight got to do with it? Aren't we talking about racing?

Some people say he doesn't care about stuff like that, he also said he didn't care about team tactics and was only out there to win, and well, we saw yesterday how accurate that was. He seems to be more about attracting attention to himself than putting his head down and winning.

And ya, JB walking away showed what he stood for, he can talk the talk, but not walk the walk. There is only one way to earn respect in this sport, winning.

I say Coop will spend the weekend eating French Top Soil... For Christ Sakes he scored 3 points on a Euro styled
track, Unadilla... he went 18-23

He crashes that much on a 250 what's he going to do on a 450?

Did you hear about the newly designed French tanks? One speed forward, sixteen spends in reverse.
