Man, I get 15 hours max out of an ERT2 on
my KX450F. And it is roached at that point. Someone here said I should look into the DID ER 520MX as it has a higher rating than the ERT2, but I’m assuming has more weight. So that will probably be my next chain.

Yeah a 450 would not notice a o-ring, would probably last longer. Use steel sprocket too.

I've been running the DID DZ on a CR 500 for well over a year now, and it is doing great. It is rated at 7,900 ft lbs versus 8,100 for the ERT 2 (Renthal R1 is 7,644). That's around a $50 dollar chain and it has a higher tensile strength than some of the more expensive ones from other brands. I'm also running one on my 250F now and it is wearing very well. Seems like good bang for the buck.

I would totally run an oring chain. But there is maybe 3 mm of clearance between the case, and the pins of the non oring chains I am using. I’ve tried a DID and a Sunstar and neither would fit. Gave up after that.

If anyone has experience with an oring chain on a 16 KX450F I’m all ears.

Primary Drive 520 O ring/steel sprockets are $70 bucks. The whole shebang for under the price of a ERT2.

Probably wouldn't fit if your having clearance issues.

Stretches/wears as good as any good chain I've had.

a good chain is only as good as the weakest link bro, most times the weak link isn't even in the chain but in the torque of the sprocket bolts.

Never heard of a DZ chain. Do you mean NZ? Have run them many times with great success.

I really like Mika Metals sprockets and chains. I get a pair of Factory series chains and rotate them. Over 40 hours on the current set.

OTHG discount helps too.

i just put a ert2 on my 250f and it has to be adjusted every single time i pull off the track. Im almost out of adjustment its nuts.

I'm not sure of the model number but I've had really good luck with the Moose X-ring on my XR600 and my 250F. Almost zero stretch so sprockets wear longer as well. If a larger chain won't fit....maybe go down a tooth in front and up a couple three out back (if I understand your clearance problems correctly).
