no I am not a gore monger. Both dudes will be OK hopefully.

Ryan is un-weighting so much he has his bars in his face which may or may not have contributed to his broken jaw. I know first hand the helpless feeling of being way up there just knowing you are going to hurt someone.

It looks like Morais is taking a crossbar to the midface. I'm still trying to make out what is going on with TC's head. I can see how he had Cervical damage from that.

Ironic that the tuff block cover is a Honda logo.

Again, wow. Some lucky guys there, coulda been much worse.

On a lighter note, "get well soon" on this pick made me lol a little.

Did Morais over jumped the triple?

I am assuming that is the triple landing......

I was going to say that! Looks like he is going to flat land that thing by 10 ft if trey wasn't there. Hanny is already on the ground and behind Morais

It looks kinda like Canard carried him a little bit making him look like he's over jumping it but not sure

Praying for full recoveries for both Trey and Ryan

from what I saw in all the vids he was already committed and and really launched it trying to go more right in the air to avoid Trey. So unfortunate, and I am probably going to get shit for saying this but Canard had to have known this was going to happen on the first lap.(not that he could have done anything) Wasn't Fonzie and Marshalls crashes on the first lap?
Maybe they should have a run out on the sides if you cant trip. IDK. Bad deal.

OUCH! That was a vicious crash! I'm glad to hear that it sounds like both riders will make a full recovery. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery to both Ryan and Trey.

That is scary, Trey wouldn't have seen it coming, but Ryan had a front row seat and he would have seen it all unfolding in front of him.... and there was nothing he could do about it..... Now thats scary.

With Trey going up and Ryan coming down and moving at those speeds.......the impact was tremendous to say the least. I bet if you were to rewind the footage from that pic ( I know it's just a pic ) but if you did......you would probably see the front part of Ryans frame cradle hit the back of Trey's head. Then skid right over the top and the rear wheel using Trey's back as landing ramp.

On video....it took a split second....and that is it! That right there is scary picture to say the least. My jaw is dropped just looking at it.

I am not one for praying.....but thank God Trey and Ryan will be ok.

I think Morais was trying to keep that YZ up in the air with every inch of his body ...including his teeth.

I just can't get over the amount of noise that trey would've heard it's prob a good thing he was ko'd cause that's not something you'd wanna remember...
no wonder Morias got so many injuries coming down from, essentially over jumping a triple straight onto the ground head first... BRUTAL.. and the poor dude was just doing everything he could to avoid the collision which, unfortunately was nothing

horrible all round

also in one of the gopro vids you see on the restart tedesco and josh grant had to double the same triple..... fuck that

Hi-res:

How can some people say that the Leatt caused the injury to Trey's back? Look at where the rear tire impacted him. Right around the T10 to T12 area.

The way the skid plate of Ryan's bike is on Treys head the leatt is bound to have helped saved Trey neck.

Totally off topic but kinda related.

That's the same triple that RV came off line on right when he went off the track? Did he just come off of it wrong or what happend right there?

Stroupe? You mean Morais, do you?
Yes, duh. Sorry. Morais never saw that coming. He wasn't even behind Canard as they approached the triple. He was to Canard's left so he just jumped it like normal. That had to be a sucky feeling to be in the air seeing the collision coming. Nothing he could do at that point.

Really saddened by this accident. I feel super bad for both guys and hope they both heal up completely.

Looking at the video I think RV saw Chad Reed under him and didn't complete his scrub so he would avoid landing on CR.
