I would suggest against buying the Tech7. A few of my buddies got good deals on them around the time they were first released. The boot has a lot of plastic in it, looks cool but it makes the boot REALLY stiff.

I currently wear the 7's, while they're a great set of boots, I'm trying to go to the 10's strictly for the extra ankle support. I found a decent deal on motocross giant when I bought mine.

I have been out of the game for 12 years or so and just bought a bike, and borrowed a friends tech 7's and fell in love... compared to 12 years ago they felt like tennis shoes lol

I use the Tech 7 for dual sport and trail riding. They are so comfortable- they feel like bath slippers. Perfect for long days off-road.
For moto I use Tech 10 or Fly Sector for the additional ankle support.

What do you think of the fly sectors for moto? I've never worn fly boots but have heard good things about the sectors

You might be thinking of the older design Tech 7. The newer version (hinged type) that has been around for a few years is like a boot slipper. Needs virtually no break-in time. My only complaint is the soles wear out quickly.

My son loves the tech 7. And the support Astars gave when part of the boot had an issue, was 2nd to none.

I have two pairs of the new style Tech 7 and am a pretty big fan. Great boot for the money with great support. Prior to these I had Tech 8's and don't feel any less protected.

No idea on who has the best deals, but I've seen last years colors for around $280 on eBay.

I had/have a pair of the older style Tech 7 and really liked them. I tried on the new ones and ... oh my... different boot. Zero support for my ankles. It felt like a tennis shoe. Wasn't going to work for me.

So I bought a pair of SG12's on sale at Rockymountain ATV. Very happy with my decision.

great boots and on closeout almost anywhere right now. got mine off of chapparral for like $160 w/free shipping. wore them last week for first time and felt great out of the box.

Sure enough. I must have missed the one post entirely. I’d rather have tech 10’s, but 7’s for $160, I was ready to jump on that deal!
