you get what you voted for, but hey, at least you will have health coverage soon! (this is aimed at all members of congress so dont go taking up sides because neither party really tried to stop the last bill)

That shouldn't be a federal issue at all. It's the state's land.

Our politicians these days don't know shit about what the founding fathers knew... And apparently they haven't studied those founders much either.

Why does a Rep from New York care about riding in Utah?

Exactly. It's idiotic. It's not helping people. The government is supposed to help the people, not the dirt. I mean, people wouldn't be happier about it if it was the state government banning it, honestly, but they wouldn't do that. Not with Huntsman as governor.

The federal government has no business doing that.

This should answer the question to the "are people going to far" thread in non-moto.

Indeed, as we speak, there are about a dozen Wilderness bills being considered on Capitol Hill that would close about 36 million acres to off-highway riding.

What a load of crap. Politicians are doing everything they can to take power from the people when they are there to serve us. To pass a bill in a state where none of the states reps (that the people there voted for) support it is just wrong.

That's "temporarily unavailable" you know like most married women today. Eventually it will be available again. It's the waiting that sucks! Evil

Thats what I thought too DC. But then I knew it couldn't be bad vibes from you...

Yup...vote for libs...lose your riding areas...it wasn't a secret...these morons have no regard for the constitution. NONE!

The fact that a rep from NY is proposing to close land in Utah should get the bill tossed out on it's ass....

The BIG question is how many people are going to vote for Obama next term. If he gets elected again its going to really bad news. Right now Democrats have a 60 vote majority. They are going to do whatever they want.

You don't think murdering a census taker is going too far? (if it was murder)

Are you really helping dirt riders' credibility with lunatic statements like that?

I wasn't aware that Obama was to blame for this.

Perhaps someone can show where he suggested the legislation. If he is responsible, I'd like to know that.

He may not have suggested it but you know damn well that he will sign it if it gets to his desk.

Yup...Nerd, if he signs it (which he will if it gets to his desk) he's responsible for it (since he could have stopped it and didn't/won't).

"I told you so"...repeated a million times....

He's a liberal piece of shit...and won't be satisfied until all "public" land is only accessible via hiking...Yeah!!!! We're becoming more and more like Europe every day. I'm so happy.

I wouldn't blame just the O-man. It's all the lefty nut jobs in DC that are to blame for things like this. These pieces of legislation are absolutely absurd, and people that vote for them have a very very selfish agenda.
