so just had a big crash last night and pretty sure my new shoei is done for the foam inside looks like it compressed and is all wrinkled looking now where I hit my head over jumped a jump landed front wheel into a decent sized berm and went end over end. I can get the answer ar5 helmet at a really good deal but is it going to be any where near what my shoei was in quality? is the mips that much safer? how's the comfort and weight and liner feel on the answer ar5 I cant find 1 review on this new helmet from answer and was hoping to get some input on anyone running it?
The Shop
There does seem to be a difference in fit, though, between the brands. Other than that they all get manufactured in the same 1 or 2 factories in China.
Just some whiny ass boo hooin.
I have a few regular helmets from different companies, a mips helmet, and a 6d helmet. I've looked at all of them and the basic construction is all the same save for the 6d. I mean at least they're trying to innovate in this stale industry.
MIPS is a joke. It's just some plastic 8th grade binder material between the liner and the foam.
All the rest are just foam and a thin polycarbonate or carbon fiber shell. If you have any facts you'd like to back up your incredibly uninformative reply please - I'm all ears.
