Limping bad and struggled getting his leg tossed over the seat.

Looked like a hard hit.

Racer X reported this in their "Race Day Feed" article:

"Trey Canard went down in the turn after the finish and was a little slow to get up, but must have been okay as he then put down his fastest lap of the session on lap eight. "

That jives with what I saw while watching the live timing.

Trey is one of the most likeable riders out there. But I will be shocked of he makes the entire series. He needs to tone it down a bit to stay off the ground.

Canard back on the track for one last attempt. Whatever happened in that crash must not have been too bad

Judging by where he went down, I doubt he hit the ground THAT hard. I could be wrong though

During track walk Trey said he was going to get the holeshot tonight. Let's pray it comes true!

No dummy it means not riding over your head where you are at a much higher risk of crashing. I am sure Dungey could go even faster than he does but he would be on edge more which would result in more crashes. He knows his limits and doesn't take a lot of risks.

And yes Trey could still go real fast and would qualify by being a little more careful.

As often as he takes a big hit and getting hurt yearly he might want to start thinking of hanging up his boots. Sad

From what I saw it looked like he got tangled up with someone going up the take off for the finish line jump. He and his bike ended up halfway up the ramp sitting off to the side. I could see him holding his arm.

When someone gets banged up so often you really have to wonder if they are making the right strategic decisions.

Sometimes being in the wrong place at the wrong time is because you continually put yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Why you asking me? I never said that.

But I think he often puts himself in a position for bad stuff to happen.

I wasnt asking you, you said "Sometimes being in the wrong place at the wrong time is because you continually put yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time."...isnt that effectively saying you think it always his fault? :-)

Apologies if I read it wrong

Fault has nothing to do with it. It is probability. Trey is too comfortable riding 6" from other guys. Things that made Dungey cringe at 24" do not phase Trey at 12". Probability takes care of the rest. In the short run, nothing is his fault. In the long, his increased incidence of crashes IS his fault. It is like playing poker. Anything can happen on one hand...but the long run determines how good of a player you are.

We are talking about a guy who has won plenty and is faster that 21 other riders very often. More than half of his crashes in the last 5 years have been wrong place wrong time. And tonight it was JB10's turn to subject Trey to a little more.

To be fair, Trey has said he has considered retirement twice, after he got landed on and after his femur rebreaking at Washougol.
