Like the title says can we no longer stream first motos without buying NBC gold?? Last year I remembered watching practice and the first motos online...
The Shop
It was perfect in the past for those with cable as you'd get practice and first moto's in HD online free and available via the normal NBCSN app included on most Smart TV platforms.
Now us paying customers lose practice and first moto's in HD. The alternative to buy hardware such as a Chromecast and a Gold subscription on top of us already paying for cable for something that was previously available and works great just kinda sucks that's all.
In the past those that couldn't afford cable were hosed out of second moto's viewing and now paying customers with cable are hosed out of the previously convenient (as NBCSN normal app was included on most TVs) option included with our cable subscription.
Guess everyone can't be happy but I'm sure the setup for the last few years which included free practice and HD first moto's for everyone led to higher viewership and brought more attention to the sport.
By forcing folks to use a Gold app that's not available in all platforms and a mandatory fee to even view archived races which were free -- this definitely won't grow the number of viewers. I bet a great deal of potential viewers new to the sport will be lost just for a quick cash grab for s small number of dei hards. Nobody just discovering the sport for example a newer supercross fan will find the Gold app and also pay up front for MX.
