they said he crashed and his legs went thorugh his feet which i can imagine but odd. also mentioned he got a fake leg from a charity group because he could not afford 20000 dollar one. cool part is he is racing and he said livin the life on the radio.

Chris Ridgeway. He's Ridge on this forum. I thought you were in the loop?!?

He doesn't race with the pros but in a specialized event called Adaptive X.

This is like going to the drive-in movie with a hot chick and having to drag your little brother along.

Adaptive X is just SX. Ranel Cox, who is also on this forum, races it, too. He's paralyzed from the waist down and hauls ass (and he runs DeCal Works custom graphics).

Lets not forget that Ricky James will also be competing this year. His father posts here as well.

i dont want to sound rude or nothing but i got some questions.

how does he distribute the load on his legs when he lands?
how does he balance in a turn without the wieght of the leg?
how does he shiftt? does he have special shifting mechanism on the bars?
good thing his kickstarter leg is real. imagine kickstarting with the fake one?

i read he got inspiration from a ups delivery man. imagine the inspiration he gives other amputees? some may worry about walking but he is racing motocross. core determination.

F ESPN. I stuck around all day to see the adaptive practice, as soon as it starts we get told by security to leave. I point the security guy to the direction of this screen that has been on all day saying that the adaptive practice is from 6-7 Thursday. It's now 5 after 6 and he tells us to get. I ask to talk to someone from ESPN, he says that isn't going to happen. I continue snapping pics as I'm being escorted out.lol

Why advertise it all day long to the general public and then throw them out when it starts?

I don't know if Gibby stuck around all day or not, I didn't see him at the end of the day.
