Maybe DC can answer this..

I have been hearing aweful rumors that Budds Creek may be in trouble. Ever since the MXoN there, Beasley has been hurtin for attendance. Maybe its due to the schedule change from the traditional Father Day, but the last 2 years have been aweful attendance-wise. Last year was really bad, we showed up late and it was like as if we showed up to a local District 7 race! This year was a little better, but still Unsure Also heard of the track dozers being repoed!! A local track here offered a dozer to borrow! Please tell me this isnt true! this is my home track and have been riding/racing and going to pro races there since I was alittle kid Sad

Also have been hearing rumors that Broome Tioga may be back and Freestone removed!

I heard they're bringing back the Troy, Ohio National! But instead of racing bikes, the riders will be racing Jet Ski's!

Budds Creek going away is a nightmare I don't even want to consider.

It is definitely the crown jewel of Mid-Atlantic motocross. If you race, do the Budds Creek events.

I think DC is considering this. Could be why there is rumor of another track going away.

The only sort of credible thing I've heard over the past couple years is that one of either the High Point or Steel City rounds might go to Georgia when a facility is ready there. There seemed to be more noise abut that a year or so ago. In this economy, anything can happen.

From what I've seen of that Monster Mountain track in Alabama, I think it is, there should be a nat there. Obviously no one wants to lose their home race. Why can't we just add rounds? Smile

ATL is such a hot tkt with sx, and it everyone knows that people=cash, and cash makes the world go-round. id like to see something in the carolinas, GA, or northern FL. different tracks, different soil, would be cool, but id hate dropping anyplace from the current schedule.

Budds is too well liked by the pro riders for this rumor to have any truth of it being removed from the schedule. As far a a bull dozer.......I would guess that all of the national tracks trade off being a track sponsor for getting a loaner track equipment.

That's a big thing for me too. I'd love to see variety. Hard pack, loam, sand, all of it.

Wish they would but with 17 rounds of Supercross and the demand of more time off from everyone I doubt adding rounds to the Nationals is even an option.

I would love to be proven wrong!

From some jungle drums I've heard in the semi-recent past, I'd be surprised if we go back to Glen Helen.

I've heard that one a few times but was afraid to repeat it because it sounded absurd.

I heard a rumor that Pala Raceway is making a big GP style track and they are gonna replace Glen Helen with that. And I live 15 minutes away from Pala Raceway

I'm gonna disagree with that. If they drop GH, it'll be to add a round in another region.

If they drop Glen Helen, I know a few familys who will no longer be going the nationals..

When Comp Edge first opend there was a big rumor of them taking away the Glen Helen National.

My question is how can they take away a national?? Isn't the NGP run by the track owners? Do they get a vote?? If not, what good is the NGP?

Bring one to St Louis! Problem is there really isn't an existing track here that would be suitable. Need to find some farm to build a primo national track. Hell there is already a rural town near St Louis called Red Bud, we could have Red Bud I and Red Bud II! Now I just gotta win the lottery so I can build a track!
