I just read on Facebook
That he is having surgery today on his shoulder
I had not heard that anywhere else , I'm guessing that means his season is over ?
I cant see how you could race two weeks after surgery

I may be over looking it but this is the first thread I have seen on him since this weekend. I scrolled looking for a thread on his crash but could not find one.

I wouldn't be able to ride 30+2 on that track with a hang nail and this badass carried through with torn cartilage requiring surgery...

I can’t see through 2 motorcycles so I’m not sure. But I did see 17 think he got a good jump and move over like he owned he first corner.

Take a close look at the photo below. Look where the front wheels are pointed.

To me, it looks like Gage Shehr got stood up, and came across in front of Zach and Savatgy. All three were among the guys on the ground.

How you’d take someone out from the outside, I’m not sure.

ROCKSTAR ENERGY HUSQVARNA FACTORY RACING’S ZACH OSBORNE OUT FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON

PHIL NICOLETTI TO FILL IN FOR THE TEAM ABOARD THE FC 450 ROCKSTAR EDITION

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Zach Osborne is out for the remainder of the 2018 Pro Motocross season. The disappointment of this announcement comes after Osborne was involved in a first turn pile-up during the start of Moto Two at the Thunder Valley National this past weekend in Lakewood, Colorado. He sustained a shoulder injury, torn labrum, which will require surgery. Recovery time needed extends past the current 2018 motocross season. We expect Osborne to make a successful recovery and cannot wait to see him back on the track!

Zach Osborne: “I am extremely bummed to say the least. This fourth consecutive championship aboard the FC 250 was one that I wanted bad. It’s almost surreal that it has come to an end, but I know everything happens for a reason. I’ll use this time to prepare mentally and physically for the challenge of my first year in the 450 class. I am excited to get my recovery started and move onto the next step of my career!

In the midst of having two injured 450 riders, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory racing would like to announce that Phil Nicoletti will be filling in aboard the FC 450 Rockstar Edition, for the remainder of the Pro Motocross season. Nicoletti comes to the team with thirty top-ten finishes in his Pro Motocross racing career.

Phil Nicoletti: “I am happy to have the opportunity to finish out the Pro Motocross season with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team. I look forward to getting on the bike and showing everyone what I have. Thank you to everyone backing me, see you at the High Point National!”

Bobby Hewitt, Team Manager: “It has been a devastating week for all of us here on the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team. Losing Zach for the remainder of the season is unfortunate but he will be back, just as strong as ever. We are excited to have Phil for the rest of the Pro Motocross races and know he will mesh well with the team.”

Zach has had a pretty good run for the last couple of years. Injuries suck. Hope he can come back strong and be a factor in the 450 class. I was at Budds Creek and witnessed "the fade" up close and in person. I admire and respect anybody who has the grit and resolve to rebuild their career to the point he has, regardless of his age,
which for some reason seems to be a problem for some people.

Edit: Guy B dropped the news in while I was typing the above on my phone with fat thumbs...Good luck to Phil!

Raise your hand if you honestly saw that coming (the Filthy Phil announcement). That's awesome news for him.

Imo.. Savatgy’s front fender is the one that looks different than everyone else. Looks like a combo of both. However, I’m sure every racer knows.. there’s a very good chance the pack drifts wide in the first turn.. if you’re on the outside and try to cut in.. you’re gonna have a bad time mmmkay

That is what it looked like to me too. Savatgy just turned right once he got part way down the start stretch.
