Not sure if already asked. What's your thoughts on a late 2nd part series to SX after the MX series concludes. Obviously stadiums are being used for other/main activities so facilities are probably the biggest hurdle?

Sorry if you've been asked this in the past but what was your training regimen like during your career and did a lot of guys train hard during that era ? The perception for some is that real training started with Carmichael which I don't believe is true. Anyway I'd like to hear your take on the evolution of training in the sport.

If you were trying to get somebody into the sport, and you had three races to show to sell them on it, which races would you pick?

Hey Ping just wanted to say thank you for your contributions to motocross literature and humanity in general. You made a lifelong fan back in 1999 when I attended my first national at Red Bud. I was 15 at the time and although I went home with a slew of autographed posters, I distinctly remember how cool and down to earth you were. Especially considering you had just finished practice, we’re drenched and dirty, sitting on the back of the Primal Impulse Suzuki truck, yet still took the time to talk and sign something for the pasty awkward teenager that came up to meet you. Sure you probably DNFed at least one moto and faded like a boxed hair dye job in the second but it didn’t matter to me. I was and still am a fan. Keep up the great work.

Some of the other posts in this thread....well, it shows just how small people can be.

No questions. Just a comment for David as a fireman/first responder....Thanks Dude. I'm sure the kind of stuff you mop up and deal with day in and day out really drives home how fragile, and strong, us humans are. Hang in there.

What are your thoughts on eliminating the outdoors National series that comes way to close to the end of the SX series and starting up the Trans Am series in the Fall? If it began after the MXGP series ended it could be marketed as the premier series by bringing the best of MXGP riders along with our National riders. Seems like it would allow the teams to prepare the bikes better for the outdoors and it would also allow the SX injury riders plenty of time to heal up for the Trans Am series

With the global pandemic the world is facing right now, recession in economy is evident. When you have a struggle market to reinsurge from the ashes of a catsclism you cannot ignore the fact that demand of non essential products is driven by variables linked to a positive growing tendency of a certain geographical space, in this case the USA. Those markers are absent in this point in time: GDP reduction, unemployment on the rise and such.

Do you believe teams in the best case scenario will reduce their Budgets for next year as a result of shrinking sales from sponsors in all aspects (gear, aftermarket parts, OEM bike sales cut short) or in the worst case scenario teams shutting down operations? ; Wich teams in your opinion are more likely to close doors (JGR comes to mind).

Also

Do you foresee riders (Top Tier) facing a "salary" cut?

@Ping

What do you think will be the challenges (if any) for the moto industry once we get back to normal from this virus?

Ping,
Thanks for calling it like you see it. Do you have any tips for using a GoPro to analyze technique? I know having someone else shoot video gives better perspective, but I can easily change camera positions and spend hours watching video. But I'm convinced the camera somehow prevents me from keeping my head over the triple clamps and then adds curse words in my voice.

Also, does riding pitbikes significantly help improve technique? I seldom have time to drive to a track, but I could do some figure eights in my backyard on a small electric bike. Would this help much given my limited riding time?

If you had to be quarantined in a house for 14 days with one current or former pro rider, who would you choose and why?
Personally I’d probably pick someone like Jason Lawrence because I value my alone time and I imagine he’d be sleeping most of the day so I would pretty much have the house to myself. Then again, the sweet and salty rations would probably disappear at an alarming rate so it might not be the best choice. Anyway, I’m curious who you could stand to be cooped up with like that.

Ping,

Straight up

Was it easier to pull chicks as a pro racer or now as a firefighter?
