Looks brutal and one two stroke that definitely does not seem very "fun".
Look at that start! He got ate up once they started going over jumps though. It's not fun to huck all that weight
The guy wasn't jumping even the smallest doubles.
He was lugging up towards the faces and stuff like he wasn't really trying to go fast.
Watch from like 1:35 on. He's singling over the smallest jumps.
Here is the same dude on a different track. Obviously riding different as well.
And Jarryd McNeil on a 79 Air cooled Yamaha 250......
My post is my opinion. If you don't agree with it, I'm OK with it.

Your going to lug a 2 stroke like that, might as well get a 450

You have clearly never ridden a cr500.
You mean you don't ride them on the pipe like 1-2-5?
Go for it! Don't let a little thing like fear, or common sense hold you back.

Of course you do, but you fan the clutch a little more.
The CR500 makes most power down in the mid-range. If you rev them they just vibrate and make a lot of noise and not much else.

?start=32
This track is a totally different animal, having rode there plus as you know go pro gives no justice on how deep the bumps are and holes after the jumps the depth of the ruts leading up to the jumps. It’s brutal on how rough it gets.
And I too have a Cr 500 1995 as my steed.. riding around the sand in Florida now the suspension not so forgiving and with the weight/ power it’s not easy to keep the thing straight
That’s hawkstone hill
That is Neville Bradshaw, former GP rider, ridden for South Africa at the Des Nations many times inc 2017, he could out ride most people on here and has serious skills, that 500 is borrowed and he does not race it very often, he knows what it is capable of and what he is doing on one of the worlds toughest tracks, Hawkstone Park...

Nah, he just knows that 2-strokes are underpowered at low RPM. You really have to rev 'em up. It helps to sit waaaaay back on the rear fender for traction, too.
Braaapin' aint easy.
The guy riding that 500 is quite a bit faster than what that video shows. Don't think that was his bike honestly.
And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
