I’m going to go with Wilson
I think he’s got some wins in him this year
Edited Date/Time:
It depends what kind of expectations you have on certain riders.
I think most people expect that Wilson is a consistent top 10 rider with a few top 5 finishes. I think that he will land on the podium at multiple races, so Wilson in my surprise pick for the 450 class.
250s, McElrath will be underrated again even though he almost won it last year. I think he will win the title.
Tickle could become one of the biggest disappointments. The expectations seems to be very high.
Current fleet of two wheeled vehicles:
- Yamaha YZ450F 2020
- Suzuki GSX-R 600 K7 track spec
- Canyon Sender CF 8.0 2018 Downhill
- White GX Pro 20 Gravel
Not the "Surprise Pick of Season", but it would be cool to see Jeremy Martin win one before dropping down to the 125cc Class. He sure rode a big bike good at Daytona in March.
I think webb will click one off towards the end of the season
2009 Kawasaki KX450F
2009 Kawasaki KX250F
2002 Suzuki GSXR 600
I'd like to see Barcia get a win before the end of the year.. Whether or not it will happen is a completely different story.
I think you are right about McElrath. He’s a rider very low on the radar but very good. I feel like he has really good 450 potential in his future career.
Hoping that bogle picks it up and also seely, ive been really dissapointed with Cole's overall performances (not that i could do it better)
Ferrandis's second year in SX. He started catching on later in the year. Think he'll surprise a few.
Ferrandi's in 250's and Seely in the 450's. Not a Honda guy but I've always pulled for Cole, such a smooth, effortless style....

I was gonna say the same thing. I have a feeling he's the real deal. He will surprise a lot of people.

I grew up riding with him, the smoothest rider I have ever seen pros included. He will get podiums outdoors and in. Big thing about him, he is a hard working fucker with incredible riding talent and does not make big mistakes ever. Recipe to success in moto
Justin Cooper is the future.
Tickle landing on the podium multiple times indoors.

250 - Cooper (Podiums would be awesome to see)
450 - Martin (Podiums or maybe even a win?)
Might order a pizza, take a nap, doesn't really matter.
I think Shane took over from Jesse Nelson as the "oh shit, I completely forgot about that guy!" in people's top picks. I wouldn't be surprised to see him win a title indoors this year, and go top 3 (with an outside chance at the title) outdoors.
I thought this one was way too easy... The fact that Roczen is racing is my biggest real surprise. Remember the surgical pics from less than a year ago and the recent revisit of the rubber bands and saran wrap holding together something resembling hamburger? I am glad I was wrong that I thought he could never race again.
I don't think it'll be a surprise to anyone if Ferrandis wins races or even the championship. He's proven he can run with the best, it's just consistency that hinders him.
