Your old awkward/embarrassing riding Pics or vids

Edited Date/Time 3/27/2019 8:47am
I have checked out this site for years to stay informed of the newest moto news but never posted anything. I saw some old pics of OC Scottie and GuyB floating around and it made me go open my old photo albums to see how big of a riding dork I was when I was young. Brought back a lot of memories so thought I would share and check out other peoples awkard or funny photos of you thinking you were a bada@@ back in the day.

kittens and a ATC90 is how it all got started. LOL

Got me a TL250 when I was 17 and thought I was a trials rider.

My brand new 98 YZ125 breaking it in right!

Our "SUPERCROSS" track was HUGE!! not!!

And still unsuccesfully trying to be cool at 38 years old.

Me on my '82 RM80 circa 1983:

Racing Barona Oaks in 1986. The flag is at half mast for the Space Shuttle Astronauts aboard Challenger, which exploded just after takeoff:

Many years later at Barona Oaks. My buddy on the Kawasaki is grabbing the holeshot, I'm #99, and Jeremy Stenberg is twitching along on #17:

Of course. Can't ya see? I've already grabbed the clutch. An instant later I grabbed the throttle, opened that sucker up and popped the bike right back up. Easy. Tongue

cool pics. I would have killed for that RM80. We were so poor I was lucky to have a hammered old 1972 SL70 to ride. I remember riding my bicycle to the old Riverfront park in Marysville and watching all you cool guys riding your new bikes.

A Helmet tail? Really?? Thank god that fad didn't stick. Imagine if Villopoto showed up with one of those at A1, I'm pretty sure the world would implode.

Love the clean lines of the classic gear. Looks much more comfortable, lightweight and a whole lot less bulky than today's fashion show at the racetrack....lol.

and for the children out there who think being pulled by a pick em up truck while on a snowboard is somthing new - this was me in 1986 on an original Burton Backhills 100% wooden snowboard. I still have it (google if it you are into vintage stuff). I found one on ebay and the nut is asking $999 for it. that's crazy, but I'll never part with this piece of my childhood.

I refuse to try and find it... but remember TWMX's show and tell? Well I was racing 125 beginner at the time on a ratted out 96 CR125 with #69 on the front plate and sharpied onto the side plates... I sent in some pics and rambled on about how fast I was for a beginner. I thought I was so cool when they posted it, but now I realize they were probably crying with laughter when they posted it... yea, we've all been the cocky 16 year old. Thankfully I outgrew that fast. Now I'm a 24 year old B rider who should probably ride A since I'm so goddamned fast but don't since I barely ride anymore Cool

Hey OCScottie, I grew up with an ATC 110.
One ride on my 1977 YZ80 cured me of my love for anything with more than 2 wheels.

Around age 16 I thought I had the stoppie all figured out on my sweet KX250.

Husky pants, ACDC shirt, flat-white helmet at some sand dunes.
Ronnie Mac is just another modern immitation of my sick style.
