Your favorite Ralphisms

With SX season nearly upon us, we stand dizzyingly on the precipice of another season bountiful with Ralphisms. So whether it's Villopoto "coming hard from behind" or just some random gibberish punctuated by a "JAMES STEW-ART!!!!!", or simply explaining eight times a lap that "you know guys, thats why they call him 'The Diesel'," what are some of your favorite Ralphisms?

Feel free to drop in some Fro and RC love/hate banter as well. Always good for a laugh.

Drop the gate!

"Lights the candles"

I know he gets a lot of flak but I really like Ralph Shaheen. Very down to earth guy, takes the time to talk to people, and is passionate about moto. I think he does a good job on the broadcasts as well.

Haha! As do I. I think some will take my initial post the wrong way, but he is actually a lovable character and has become synonymous with the sport.

For Aussies, he is like the Ray Warren of rugby league. As soon as you hear the voice, you know what time it is.

I like him too. It still amazes me after all these years people can't comprehend that it's not his job to be a supercross expert.

If by "favorite" you mean most hated: "high-flying circus"
Then there was the time he said this:
"In the world of professional motor sports, the athletes that compete in Monster Energy Supercross are some of the most courageous daredevils on wheels; risking everything as they launch themselves over humongous triple jumps and blast across massive whoop fields; in a quest for racing glory. On a night with a Supermoon in the sky, the superstars of Monster Energy Supercross are ready to ignite the sky here in Jacksonville."

Luckily, Ralph loves this sport enough to probably do it for not a whole hell of a lot of money, because he's done plenty of F1, and other stuff which I'm sure pays more.

We are lucky to have a guy with his resume and clout.

I like Ralph a lot. Only one who could be better is Art Eckman or Weege. But Ralph is great and a lot of fun.

I gotta admit, that Stewart one was funny. Heard that one a few times!

I saw him just this morning doing some wacky dirt track car race. Seemed like he knew what he was talking about (probably the same thing the dirt track car guys say when they watch him call a SX race).

Doesn't matter what he says, whatever he says you can guarantee it will be right over top of Jeff Emig. I bet he cuts him off 30 times a race.

Go back and watch some Eckman races and youll notice he says "They're bar to bar!!" every single chance he gets. Its kind of annoying.

Yeah he does a ton of commentating for MavTV (formerly SpeedTV) from late model dirt racing to spring cars to short course offroad etc.

Anybody who says he's not committed to the sport or racing or has not roots in it has no idea what they're talking about. He's been involved with off-road racing for more than 30 years

The only thing annoying to me is the one guy saying "he's salty" all the time. Other than that I like everything about all the moto announcers, and I especially like James Stewart!

People complained about Art Eckman back in the day.

People just like to complain.

A booth with Kevin, Jeff and Ricky would make me more excited than any changes to the format ever could.

Ricky did a great job riding a motorcycle...I would argue that he does a less than sufficient job announcing races...

Yeah seriously. As good as Windham and Carmichael were on the the track, they leave a lot to be desired in the booth...

Jeff is much better IMO
