Looking forward to these guys representing. I've always been a Seely fan, Zacho's having a great year, and haven't really followed Covington 'til now. Glad they want to go and have support too. What an opportunity. Expectations? I think they'll do really well. Top 3.

Im thinking a top 5 would be a good result. I really can't see them on the podium this year, but it is the Des nations and strange things can happen. Might be the year for the usa to have a shit tonne of luck.

I'm going to go all mini dad on them and say they'd better win or don't bother coming home. #shutupbeforeIgiveyousomethingtocryabout

WoohooLaughing In all seriousness, though - good luck Team USA!

I think top 5 is realistic. A podium would be great.

Covington? If he was riding the nationals he would be a 10-15 guy (at best) not to mention he finishes maybe 70% of the time. I'd take Webb, Barcia, Pieck, Craig, almost anyone running top ten on a 450. How about Savatgy, jeeezus what a give up!

Epectations? Go out there, give it their all, and let the chips fall where they may.

A little good luck would be nice for a change.

I like the Seely pick. He can be fast at times. Just seems like a chill So Cal guy that doesn't take it that seriously all the time. But at times he can be really focused and fast. If they each get decent starts and ride to their normal level with no major incidents they'll do well. It will take an incident on the part of the French to beat them I think.

2nd - 5th is my prediction. No moto wins just solid rides is my hope.
Well if team USA goes the way our country is going... I'd say 2 of our 3 riders will contact the clap the night before, then shit themselves at the 30 second sign so violently that the entire gate staging area will literally be blasted like an actual 50 foot green "Monster" projectilely just shit himself with a complete loss of bowel control. The 3rd rider already having boarded the wrong flight 4 days earlier will wind up circling the hole in the ozone in a mandated holding pattern until further instructions from the flight tower are transmitted... from the drunk and stoned air traffic controller.

But....

If the well qualified participants ride like they know how to ride, our existing world motocross domination will continue.

Carry on....

I expect that I'll see 3 guys doing their best and with maximum effort. What else could you ask for?

3rd if they all have decent starts, 5th at the absolute worst.

Belgium
France
Netherlands

They all have solid teams.

Made me laugh^^^

Hey, last week people were saying no team, shouldn't participate..
Well there is a team, and it's a team of riders that really want to be there, to give it there all. If that's not something to positively get behind, I don't know what is!!
At the MXDN, anything can happen on the day.
Grit and determination are the key to this race and I think these guys have it.
Podium.

Belgium
France
Netherlands

They all have solid teams.
Team USA is right up there with the Netherlands in my book.

Both have a stand out rider, someone who can be solid and lastly someone they just need one good moto!

That's assuming it is Herlings, Bogers and Coldenhoff.

Coldenhoff can go out and podium, I don't know if Covington can, I think Seeley will. Then again zacho could if he got a decent start. I'm excited for this race either way.

Expectations are the same as every year. Ride at 100% do your best. The results will be whaterer they are, it's racing. Never been a B or C or A team person, just go and give it your best effort for that day. I'll be cheering no matter what.
I can't be the only one stuck living in the 80s and 90s. I expect our riders to piss excellence and kill for the win. Boy times have changed!

I agree with your sentiments, this will be a fun race as it always is. I just don't think our guys have the same passion for this event that they used to. I am not a Zacho fan, but IMO he has a lot of weight to carry.

I think the Netherlands have an actual stand out rider whereas the US are not able to send one (they have several). I rate NL over USA but France and Belgium over NL so 4th tops. But that's just statistics and not raceday stuff.

I don't know much, but if its true that " our guys are super stoked to be there" & wanna go kick some azz w/ great determination, I cant ask for any more. You cant measure "heart" on a stopwatch. Ill take it. Best of luck you guys. Doubt they will sit for the national anthem like other ungratetful rich loser (fatpig) "atheletes" do. So if their stoked, I am too.

Watching Zacho the last several races, I am not impressed with his starts at all. Getting in the habit of making poor starts is a recipe for failure in racing. I dont care how fit he is, or how fast he is in the second half of a moto, poor starts will bite him in the ass.

If he doesnt fix his starts, we will do nothing.

Finished ahead of Harrison in both USGP's but sure thing he is just a 10-15 guy... And the best scoring GP rider after Herlings. Did you also know he's not racing the nationals, but the MXoN instead? Grinning
