Everybody has their favorite top pro rider and such. I'm Curious as to who where some of your favorite under dog privateers through the years?

I'm not talking about Factory Privateer riders (Satellite teams) The munn racing types, Tedder etc.. I'm Talking about the box vaners, the pickup truck's at Anaheim etc. Guys who made the night show or didn't. But you were always rooting for them whether they knew it or not.

Off the top of my head for me are

- Chris Papworth
- Clayton Miller
- Colton Aeck

Jace Owen. Bought my first 450 from his dad's dealer in Charleston, IL, and we rode at the same track a lot, and I remember getting passed by him on an 65 or 80 any time we shared the track and thinking that he was gonna be a champ.

None. Its not a professional race event if there are "walk ons" allowed at every event. Definition of privateer is NOT professional. If you like lappers have multiple gate drops with 50 amateurs.

When WP kicked his bike off the stand in fury at Daytona....became a fan.

Then when he slugged mr holeshot, became more of a fan.

I loved A-Ray, but he blocked me when I used the word sketchy. So, it looks like I’m riding the troll train this year.

I became a fan of Vince Friese when his mechanic backhanded a hot JA21 off his bike going through the tunnel.

Lappers aren’t amateurs. Lappers in the main event are 20 of the fastest dudes in the world. Everyone that shows up to try to get into the night show, is, wait for it...a pro. They all had to go through amateurs and earn a pro license. What a stupid post

Rodbell was great to watch this summer.
Jared Lesher was super fantastic to my son, even remembered him next time we ran into him during a trip down south. Big fan.
