ya, he was pretty incredible. i always wondered why nobody said much or did much with him.
Documentation. I'm not exactly sure, but I think his dad was a bit hard to deal with and upset the wrong people. Regal certainly had the talent.

Weston Peick all time. Currently Ty Masterpool. How that kid can be a privateer is a serious glitch in the matrix

For some reason Jerry Robins doesn't hype it up for me. There's other young kids that need a shot.

I knew most of the big name factory riders from the late 70s / early 80s as privateers so that’s a hard one! Magoo, OMara, Bell, Hansen, Zhart was my favorite though.

Modern day- Weston Peick and Adam Enticknap

Regal was quite the anomaly and I think that's such a crazy stat, 2nd in his first moto (Open / MX2) at the MXoN. He bested Ken Roczen, Dean Wilson, Trey Canard, Alessandro Lupino, Jeremy Van Horbeek, Clement Desalle, Andrew Short, and Max Nagl.

There are a number of privateers who have "a good year," or show flashes of brilliance, but not many reach as high as Regal did.
