None. Its not a professional race event if there are "walk ons" allowed at every event. Definition of privateer is NOT professional. If you like lappers have multiple gate drops with 50 amateurs.

Lappers aren’t amateurs. Lappers in the main event are 20 of the fastest dudes in the world. Everyone that shows up to try to get into the night show, is, wait for it...a pro. They all had to go through amateurs and earn a pro license. What a stupid post
Now here’s a man who hasn’t grasped the proper meaning of ‘professional’.

Jeez.

Mathias Jorgensen. I love his YouTube videos and I hope he finds success. Him and his girlfriend seem like really cool people. I hope someone steps up and helps them out, they seem to have sacrificed everything to chase the dream.

Kelly Andris
A lot of local riders to choose from, but Kelly Andris is the one who made the biggest impression. It was a local race at Sandhill Ranch in NorCal. Lamson and Vohland (Tallon) were racing the local Pro class(both 16 or barely 17). Andris and Lamson were on the brand new '88 YZ250's, while Tallon was on a '87 KX250. Andris grabbed the holeshot and led Lamson the entire moto until making a mistake on the last lap giving Lamson the win. Andris went on to have good success in the Golden States and local Nationals.

Joey Schlag
Just liked the way he rode. He was fun to watch ride on a 500.

I’ve always been a fan of Lamay since he came to race in the UK earlier in his career. His longevity as a privateer has been really impressive.

Rodbell seems like a good dude as well, fast too

Finished 2nd to Ryan Dungey in two 450 motos, and finished 2nd in one moto at the MXdN in Colorado that same year (Team Pureto Rico). Not much coverage from the media for a guy on the 450 podium racing out of a Sprinter Van.

Any rider in a white van, stuffed full of equipment, driving himself coast to coast to battle elite competitors on very uneven playing field.
