Just a few days ago, CBD sponsorship or endorsement is banned. And just now we have a Truth ad(same people who do the anti smoking campaigns) about how incredibly addictive opioid drugs prescribed by doctors are.

What is wrong with this picture? The owners of the series have every right to run it how they see fit. But in 5 years, they are going to be pissed when they missed the boat on big money.

You have ads about screwed up prescription drugs, but you ban a perfectly legal substance that can help people avoid opioid addiction. It just seems so ass backwards to me.

But what do I know. I probably have the reefer madness from all of the CBD I take.

CBD is an illegal substance. YES, it does help people and is totally harmless. That doesnt change the law.

The other ad is to spread awareness of opioid addiction from prescription pain killers. Which is a GOOD thing to try to do. Opioids are a major problem in this country. Any efforts to reduce pill junkies and heroin addicts im all in favor of.

I wish someone could explain to me why people are up in arms. What part of theyre not allowed to advertise illegal products do you guys not understand????

Maybe I missed something. Last I checked CBD is completely legal in all states. Federally I believe.

I stand corrected. It is state by state.

Like I said I stand corrected. And I'm with you, anything that can help prevent opioid addiction is a good thing.

However, it's amazing to me that legal substances prescribed by doctors are ruining people's lives, yet CBD is not federally legal. It's the principal of the matter that is upsetting.

CBD from hemp is legal, CBD from weed is not. AMA is not smart enough to do some research to know the difference.

WRONG.

Who really gives a shit the they can’t advertise or sponsor Sx/MX. There are all kinds of legal business that aren’t allowed to sponsor or advertise on TV or are banned by Sports associations. This isn’t a new phenomenon that someone just concocted, it’s been going on for decades and will continue for decades more.
