Good race this year and they have live coverage. But the craziest thing to follow is the Iron class with Quinn Cody, Gerhard Foster and Chris Birch. Cody is riding a KTM 1090R while Foster and Birch are racing a touratech modified BMW RX9.

These dudes are crazy. 5 Days of the type of terrain that would make most people on dedicated enduro bikes turn around.

This is one of the obstacles on the Iron course. They don't have to do everything that the Gold class does but it's still no joke. Especially on a 500 lb adventure bike.

Got a link? Graham Jarvis is embarrassing everyone after 2 days. Young and Gomez both crashed out hard day 1. Walker and Knight are out too. Carnage!

The livestream is over for the day but here's the link:

Yeah, Young's crash was nasty.

Here is Gomez's crash that took him out of contention:

I made a mistake earlier too by saying Birch was racing the R9X. He was supposed to race the 1090 but crashed during a photoshoot right before the race and hurt his hand.

For these guys to walk bike down something, must just about be a cliff.

I believe it was last year in the Erzberg Rodeo that I believe it was Alfredo Gomez had gotten off and basically ski'd down the hill while holding on to his dirt bike.

Bummed for Walker. Seems like a pretty rad guy

I watched an interview with David Knight and he said had he known how steep one of the hills was, he would have turned around. I can't imagine how steep it was if the Knighter says it was scary.

OMG that is an insane downhill that Johnny got hurt on. These guys need a winch to let their bikes down that channel through the rocks.

Kind of like Last Man Standing. The mentality of event promoters is often beyond extreme, interpreting the word Enduro as "can you finish" is not a big stretch.

The National Enduro Series was in Houston at Caney Creek the Lone Star 100 National Enduro February 25, 1990. Kevin Hines won and Terry Cunningham missed houring out by the final minute. The final loop was virgin trail and it had rained. Waiting at the finish line we were dumbfounded that only 3 riders made the cutoff of 1 hour. They had to lift the bikes over multiple trees.
