Lack of understanding by people outside the sport in regards to the fitness level required for motocross compared to other sports. Everyone thinks the bike does all the work.
40+2 outdoors
125 National Championship class
End of season points fund pay out
I could live with any one of those.
Fair pay for riders. Oh....and 2 STROKES!
"Never name a hog you may have to eat" - Willie Nelson
Bring back the 2 day outdoor series format to accommodate a true 125cc 2 stroke class as the primary development opportunity for young riders-think Europe. East and west coast, 6 races each series to keep costs down.
Bring down the displacement to 400cc. 450 is unnecessary.
250 class 2 stroke or 4 stroke. 2 strokes better for helping to keep costs down as well.

No more back injuries ever. I guess also no head injuries either. Heck, I guess I just agree with the guy a few posts above who just said "injuries", meaning "no more injuries at all".
Change that, and I'm back in baby.
I would take away the East/West from the lites and combine the class. I also don't like that riders can point out of the lites class.
Any of these:
No more injuries
Riders dont point out of the 250s (Just make the 450 results pay different because its a whole different animal)
Open Pro Class (Any bike/CC)
More pay for riders
Make new bikes cheaper
More tracks everywhere
Gone:
2006 CRF230F
2008 KTM 200 XC
2017 KTM 250 SX
2019 CRF250R
Current: 2021 YZ250F
Let the ICE age go out with a bang, drop the 450 indoors:
Works 300 4-strokes in SX (allow production based 300 2-strokes)
Production 250's in Regional (allow production 2-strokes)
125 2-stroke up and comer

The human body. Humans need another 20,000 years of evolution for them to catch up with the current physical demands. I'm talking about when shit hits the fan and riders get injured. Yup.

Get rid of the noisy gas engines so we can build tracks within the city limits right next to the baseball and soccer fields.

That’s it??
Of all the things you could change, you would choose to change what people OUTSIDE of the sport think about the fitness of the athletes??
Really?? I’m sure most people couldn’t give a damn what other people think?’

The above may be fact or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting. I am not sure, you have no chance.
