Say what you want about the triple crown format but this is badass. Riders are fighting like it’s a main and you’re damn right it is. Who cares about heats and semis. This is where it is at. Get the start and sprint your ass off. This is it people get on board.

"Heats" were always a joke. But they need to tighten up the down time. I think they're actually trying to fill the standard three-hour slot whether it fits or not.

It is badass but theyre wasting a lot of time. If they shrink it to 2 hrs without all the dead time and nothing but mains itd be great.

I'm thinking 2 x 20 in a two-hour time slot.

Thing is, the riders do need some down time between motos.

Format is terrific, but it definitely needs some tuning. Wayyyy too much commercial watching. More than American football.

Longer first mains definitely at least. But I love being able to have more chances of seeing my favorite riders have a good race!

I like the format and racing.....don't like the downtime, but I have a feeling that Feld's business plan with SX is built around a 3 hour program. ( commercials= revenue stream)

2 hours would be much better with the same amount of racing.

The Intensity is high for sure. Much higher then usual, or perhaps its just the track and they would be racing like this in the traditional format as well.

How's that any different from 2 hours of qualifying heats? Even F1 gets its qualifying done in an hour, and they don't tangle it up with the main event. Plus their qualifying is a million times more important.

I loved it. Would like to see less commercials and instead see more science of SX, rider interviews, in depth team, bike, mechanical type stuff. Anything but the makeup 2 mud joke.

I would rather them pay regular points per main event. Getting 75 points if you won all 3. Instead of 3 mains counting as one in the end...

Agreed. I loved the new format.

I cant for the life of me understand the dead time tho. Just run the moto's back-to-back-to-back-etc.

I think the easier track also aided to the action. It lets the guys actually "race" instead of just "survive".

Thank god I recorded the race becaus the gaps inbetween were horrible. I agree. A b main would be a great idea and let the guys that did not make it get a chance for tv time and to race
