Little pricey for me but may be of interest for some.

lets see, people take clapped out piles of crap and pour more money than that into rebuilding and then they STILL have a well used slapped out pile.

$5500 for unobtainium seems very reasonable

Or you could just wait for the market to flood with new CR250 two strokes so the prices will come down lol.

If I had a new , never run 250 I would not sell it @5500

Basically what it cost in 2003. Price seems reasonable. The bike is new. I paid $5k for my 2001 CR250 in...2001.

The price is good, I’ll be surprised if it lasts more than a couple days.

But, would anybody buy it for riding? I wouldn't... this would hopefully go to a collection of some sort.

Exactly. Thats the thing with buying a new bike that isnt made anymore. Only takes one ride and its not brand new anymore and it loses most of the value. Had it had only one or two tanks of gas through it, Id say $5500 is high. Should be a crime to ride something that old and that mint.

What would you say an 07 in similar condition would be worth?

I'm pretty sure someone posted this bike on here for sale a few months ago, so maybe there aren't as many takers as we all think? If it was closer to me, I would certainly go look at it, with a bunch of $100 bills in my pocket.

He is not far off. Probably $4,500 to $5,000.

If I was a bit younger I would give the guy a call. Temptation and reality can be difficult.

I paid $5,548 OTD for this bike in 2002. Price doesn't seem too high today. Still fun today. Just need to dial the case reed carb

Fair price for a collector but I wonder how it will ride after 15 years. In my experience vehicles are designed to be ridden. Things deteriorate, rot and seize when left sitting. I very much doubt it will turn over first kick and ride well without some work.

15 year old tyres and gaskets ? Fork oil? Seals? Bearings? Pads? Brake fluid? Air filter ? It would need pulling apart and a few hundred dollars spent before I’d ride it. If I was buying it to ride it I’d prefer a well used but well maintained bike with a few aftermarket parts for 3k less.

Good value for an addition to a collection though.
