Year old factory bikes?

So, the Dean Wilson deal had me thinking. With as little as the bikes change from year to year, how much of the factory stuff gets brought over to the following year? If it's little to nothing, why? Why wouldn't Husky take parts from Dean's 2018 bikes and let him use it (support role) on 2019 bikes that he purchases himself? Obviously engines and such may be totally worn out, but what about suspension, foot pegs, or other "factory" items that could be transferred? If these items aren't being used, would this be of benefit?

Suspension gets re-used or in the case of WP, sold down. By example if Red Bull KTM gets brand new sets one year, it is sold to TLD the following year, then TLD sells it to another KTM support team the next year (maybe Europe or Australia). For Husky, the 450 guys stuff is probably transferred to the 250 guys the next as they’re just getting on the new chassis and new shock.

So KTM team sells old parts to the TLD team? I understand lower teams getting them, but a factory 250 team is running last years 450 stuff?? Really?

I think Yamaha leases suspension from KYB, I tried to get a set of suspension for JGR when they gave up the Yamaha deal and all the suspension went back to KYB I was told.

Wheels and frames would be run to the end of their hours as a race bike then go onto the practice bike and then scrapped.

Same with engines run to life then onto practice bikes then scrapped, cant remember where I read it.
